This probably sounds stupid, but has anyone thought that this tweak could actually save battery life? I mean - a simple task of unlocking, getting to the home screen, checking an email, and going back to locked is at least 1.6x quicker, depending on what setting you are using.

Everything is quicker.

Switching between apps, in-app animations, Safari's animations, etc. The less wait time to get done what you need to get done, the quicker your phone goes back in your pocket. Less screen usage > better battery life.

No?

I really love this tweak.

That's a good question. Maybe someone will do a study on that. My question is, I heard an earlier poster say that it actually speeds up apps. For example, one app had a timer and the timer actually sped up. Is that true? Cuz if so I don't really like that idea very much.

Bah, at 10x on my 3gs it started crashing some things. Had to back down to 2.0 to stop it. Doesn't seem much slower than 10x so I guess that's just the limit of the device.

believe it or not. I thought 1.6x was too fast.

I sat mine at 1.2x

overall this is an amazing app that makes me feel like my phone has dual cores or something. no lag!!!

If only there was a tweak to make the animations super-smooth. Sometimes my animations are choppy and jitterish. If everything opened with a smooth, nice animation I would be ecstatic.

But, this does rock.
