Agreed!

The revisit of Peter vs the giant chicken was hilarious.

I also thought the Keebler elves vs the Rice Krispie guys was pretty funny too.

"To Snap?" "To Snap!"

I like when peter says, you've been pregnant for 6 years have the baby already. :p

Did I go to heaven, no this is where we watch all the dressing rooms to watch for shop lifting.

hahahahaha that chicken was hella funny. Where did that come from?

Hahaha i didn't expect it right there.

I also loved how he came back and just continued where he left off.

I know, for gods sake already have the damn baby! Shes been pregnant since season 1.

Anyone else disappointed in the new episodes? They're rerunning a lot of old jokes, and it just isn't the same as it was before.

Nah, I think they've been just as funny as the old ones...tonight's was great. The baby joke, the chicken fight, the Keebler elves, Stewie tripping Peter, etc. And Quagmire's back!!! GIGGITY GIGGITY GIGGITY!

Way to quote my exact post. Did you not see it only 3 posts above yours? Maybe Peter isn't the only one who's been easting nickels... :p

I think it's the similar argument for why Maggie is still a baby after 15 years on the Simpsons...

Not at all, I think they're great! Perhaps you just had your expectations set too high. Before the series returned I said to myself, "All I want is for them not to change a thing - the show was perfect the way it was." And that's pretty much what they did, God bless 'em! The new season has been great so far.

Actually 6/5 episode. They're taking a 2 week break :(

Ah yes, I see that now - too bad... :(

Geez, they misspelled "role" (as "roll") in the 6/5 promo. That's just SAD... don't they have anyone proofreading this stuff before they send it out?

Well, it is Fox... :p

Here are some tidbits.

The Simpsons ratings were down about 20% from last week's 350th episode double, still scoring a solid figure of 9.2 million viewers over the course of the hour in which the episodes A Star Is Torn and Thank God It's Doomsday aired. At 9pm, Fox showed it made the right decision on bringing back Family Guy, the second episode for the fourth season, although down on last week, scored 9.7 million viewers. The show has outrated The Simpsons in the last two weeks. American Dad at 9:30 had just 18% of its Family Guy lead in tuning out, 8.2 million people tuning in overall.

Season 16 ended on Sunday night with two new episodes, 'Home Away From Homer,' and 'The Father, The Son, & The Holy Guest Star.' In what was one of Fox's last few hopes of increasing its performance in the May sweeps, an average of 8.7 million viewers watched The Simpsons over the 8pm hour, down on the previous two weeks. The big result was Family Guy's huge figure of 9.3 million viewers, and the Simpson-nearing figure of 8.1 million viewers for American Dad. The night was a big one for all networks, with CBS airing the finale of Survivor Palau and ABC with the unstoppable Desperate Housewives. While 20 million people tuned into Survivor, ABC came home with the win overall for the night, with NBC and FOX sitting at third and fourth place respectively

Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.

Lois: 'Well Peter. I guess you learned an extremely valuable lesson today, didn't you?'
Peter: Nope

Why is Family Guy taking a two week break!? This is EXACTLY why it was cancelled - Fox, keep a freakin TIME SLOT!

I don't see Fox canceling Family Guy, Not while its beating The Simpsons in the ratings.

I agree - Family Guy is going to be around for a while this time. And thanks for all the statistics MacNut, good to see Fox made the right decision.

Does anyone even watch The Simpsons anymore? I quit watching after about Season 7 when they started to get really weak. Season 3-6 were the best seasons in my mind, hands down.
