when I think of eurotrip I THINK ABSINTH !!! the little green fairy...

HAve you taste it ? did you see any green fairys or duarfts or naked man paint in green ???

Absinthe does not cause hallucinations. It never has done. The poisonous colourings some people added may have done though.

Hmmmm, No mention of:

Blazing Saddles
Rocky Horror Picture Show
Airplane I & II
Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band ... :D

Definitely some classics there, plus many others that have been mentioned.

Some gasoline that I'll throw on the fire is that a Cult Classic doesn't have to be particularly good - - just entertaining, even if it is at a cheesy level:

The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982)

-hh

Dang, I don't think I can list a single favorite......

Evil Dead 2
Army of Darkness
Beastmaster (not the later ones)
Ice Pirates
Time Bandits
Critters 1 & 2 (not the later ones)
Toxic Avenger (not the later ones)
C.H.U.D.
Masters of the Universe
Krull
Clash of the Titans
Big Trouble in Little China

The Harder They Come

Also liked:

The Tenant (Roman Polanski)
The Last Movie
A Clockwork Orange... interesting note on this one. The writer of some of the songs used in the movie was Walter Carlos. So on the original soundtrack bought by geezers like me way back then credited him. Well he was undergoing a sex change and a later cd I own credits Wendy Carlos with the music.

Dark Star, 1973, John Carpenter. Beach ball with claws. Self-aware planet-destroying bombs. Existentialism. Necromancy. Mmm mmm good stuff.

You beat me to it -- great film -- just bought it for my Christmas present.

The Lindsey Anderson Trilogy:

If...
O Lucky Man
Brittania Hospital

Bagdad Cafe

A Hard Day's Night

Donnie Darko

and a bunch of black and white documentaries

AND I think it's "Bambi meets Godzilla"

I really liked Juno and Smart People (that one may have just been underatted, not "indie" or "cult").

I also happen to be a huge fan of ellen page;)

Wet Hot American Summer
Raising Arizona
Blues Brothers

Many more I can't think of off the top of my head.

Not a movie, but my favorite TV show, Mad Men, has a small but very devoted following.
