Funny you should mention that. :) There was a long running thread around here discussing this very thing.

Wow, i just read that thread and i'm just not that technical. I would never want to mess with the inside of an iMac and risk ruining a perfectly good mac mini at the same time. Maybe i will just buy one and keep it the way it is with all its original glory. Max out the ram, install leopard, and call it a day. But i do adore that computer and have been hunting for one on ebay.

I always wonder if there is a way to gut out the base of an iMac g4 and put mac mini parts inside it. I would love to have that computer with modern parts.

I've seen a couple of YouTube videos attempting but failing to do this seamlessly. However, here is an awesome iMac mod with a 20" touch screen/cinema display/Mac Mini.

That's awesome. But yeah you're right, there is no way to do this seamlessly. I love this computer so much, but i guess it's just apple history now. I will still be buying one off ebay pretty soon just to have in my collection.

Nice! Yeah, me too. I plan on getting two in the next few months from eBay. They're only about $150-$200 for the 17”. :)

Yep, and leopard is still a very usable OS. So far i have an imac g3 and clamshell ibook that both dual boot between OS 9 and Tiger. Also i have an Apple IIc with 2 boxes full of floppies that still work, and a macintosh classic. I MUST have the G4. I'll probably go for the 20 inch.

I don't understand your least favorite list. How do you hate the two computers that brought apple back from the dead? And the ipod touch?

I always thought those iMacs were really slow and buggy compared to whatever PCs I was using when those came out, and I never liked the way they looked. Same with the iBooks.

iPod Touch I always felt was kind of useless. Just an iPhone without some features, making it yet another device you have to carry around.

Just my opinion though, I bet a lot of people enjoyed those two Macs and obviously a lot of people use those iPods

Why dont you like the 13" IMO the 15" and 17" are worse because of the ugly speaker grill!

Try post #40, where he explained why. :)

Personally, I don't like the Touch or iPhone interface. And I agree about the mice. I am yet to use an Apple mouse I liked. I also can't stand the Magic Trackpad.

As far as the MBP 13: I'm torn. I like the smaller size and portability, but I dislike the fact that it uses integrated graphics and has a lower resolution display. The 13" Air has a 1440 x 900 resolution, while the 13" MBP has a 1280x800 resolution. Why does the Pro model have a lower resolution than the Air?

He did not specify why he did not like the MBP 13". Honestly one of the main reasons I got my air was because the screen was so much better. I believe that the lest gen MBP (C2DUO) had non integrated graphics. It does not really matter to me as I don't game though. I honestly feel the made macbook pro is replacing the macbook
