The notch is a good call!
Think I need to change one of my dislikes to 'All Apple cables and connections which they invent and then fail to support in the future'

Oh no.. RIP thunderbolt. My mba limited connections just got one less useable port.... Why would they notch the USB.. doesn't that take away from the whole "universal" aspect of it?

I really dislike the designs of all of Apple's current laptops. I think the combination of black and silver looks awful, and is a real step backwards from the previous design of the MacBook Pro.

Yes, they have improved the build quality significantly, but why did they need to change the keyboard and screen edges from silver to black? The all silver design was a real winner for me and I would love to see them bring it back.

So would you prefer a macbook pro with a macbook air like bezel?

iOS users.

Other than the scroll bars and launchpad (which is VERY useful), nothing in Lion reminds me of iOS. It's just a rock solid, lightweight OS. I really don't get all the hate towards lion, i'm guessing some people just don't like it because it's the cool thing to do. I've been using macs since Tiger, and lion is my favorite one.

In what way is Launchpad useful? It is a step backwards from Stacks.

The entire OS looks iOSsyfied.

It's just a rock solid,
Not for me unfortunately. Windows 7 was certainly less buggier than Lion on release.

lightweight OS.
Lightweight? At Core2Duo and 2GB RAM minimum, it is the highest system requirements I've seen for a home OS.

I don't like it because Apple have taken OS X and made it is less intuitive and harder to use. The entire OS seems badly thought out. If you're going to make OS X work like iOS, make it work like iOS. Lion is a confusing mixture of the two. The features are terribly integrated and the OS is annoyingly ridden with bugs. It certainly isn't Apple's best OS in my opinion.

I've been using macs since Tiger, and lion is my favorite one.
I've been using macs since Tiger. And Tiger is my favorite one. They had OS X perfect with Tiger. Although Leopard and Snow Leopard were very good as well.

However, to prevent deviation from the original topic, I suggest we just agree to disagree.
