Ordered on 14, no sign of authorization or pending on the account :(

I wouldn't stress. I ordered on Feb 10, card was charged on Feb 25. No sign of shipping yet, but I expect on about Friday the 29th given the trend of others. You will likely get charged on that day give or take

There ain't no Friday the 29th.

Hi, new to the forum. Ordered the new iMac on February 8th, cc charged/pending on February 22 and as today early morning I found the money back in my account with "Processing item" in my order status.
Will be back with more info tomorrow.

did you check the online inventory checker or did you call in and ask?

Calling yielded mixed results. One store had the i5 that i wanted (to save a little bit of cash) but not the 680MX. Another store had the 680MX, but only in i7.

I went with the i7. I had to buy a better computer than the one I wanted in order to get it today. I'm glad I got it.

Ordered on the 8th of February. So far CC is still pending and no ship date. I am going into my corner and cry.:(

2200 tonight and still the same thing. No indication that anything has changed. Oh hell not even caring anymore. I guess it will be here when it gets here but my Boss said today that the Pentagon intercepted my iMac and are using it for defensive purposes. I don't even think that is funny.

1 March 0944 Preparing for shipment. Will have to check again later today. Feeling better. At least there is a change.

I have a budget set for the new iMac which is 2300.oo. With that, I'm able to get a iMac 27" 3.4 i7, 1TBF, and 675mx. I have three apple stores in my location and all of them have the iMac I'm waiting for except the store models have the 680mx in them which brings the total up to 2439.oo. Do you think its possible that an Apple store would carry the iMac I'm waiting for?

I ordered the following on Monday 25th...

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-2X4GB
768GB Flash Storage
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
MAGIC TRACKPAD-Z

Happened to log into the Apple Store app and the current status is preparing for dispatch... Seems very quick if the status does in fact mean what it would appear!

I couldn't care less whether you believe me or not. I ordered on Feb 25th. It currently states as I said, preparing for dispatch.

Do you know what dyslexia is?? :).

whether the quick turn around is true or not -- in the UK (and in other parts im assuming) they use the term 'dispatch' instead of 'ship' -- in any case you got super lucky :)

Same exact thing happened to me. I ordered on the 7th, charged on the 22nd, but now my credit card is back to a "pending transaction" where it had cleared before. Kinda weird. Was hoping that it was going to be shipped this week, but it looks like maybe next week now. At least I know I'm close. Order is still Processing and has never moved further than that.

Nope, in the UK they also use 'ship', not 'dispatch'.

To be fair, I don't believe that is preparing already after only ordering 3 days ago.

The Apple Store app actually uses the word Dispatch, you might want to check your facts...

Order is now "preparing for shipment"

Ordered on the 9th so 19 days before any movement, also card hasn't been charged yet...

And you maybe need to be less rude. Ok, I made a mistake, I missed the part where you said you used the app and I apologise. I didn't actually say it didn't use the word 'dispatch', I just said that in the UK they used the word 'ship'. I did not realise you were referring to the app.

everything I ordered from the apple store UK, went from processing to preparing for shipment, never seen preparing for dispatch.

In any case mate congratulations on the fast turnround hope it's true. and you receive your machine and enjoy it for years to come.

No offence but you also stated you didn't believe it was already preparing, all I posted initially was that my order somehow is now showing as preparing for dispatch and no one believes me lol.

In fairness to you, the Apple website does state preparing for shipping, nothing like consistency I guess!

Maybe this is an easy config? Might be it will stay in preparing to dispatch / ship for the next 4 weeks.

Fair enough, I shouldn't have said that. It just seems strange after waiting over a month for mine and your is preparing after just 3 days. Well congratulations, you'll love it! :)
