Thennn return it, get your refund, get a new phone, go on with your life. Usually I'm not one to post things like this and I usually am the one telling people they're rude, but I'm fed up with people who keep posting things like this! Apple is giving you the option to return the phone for a full refund. Do that. Go on with your life.

No....Google just said they'd stop selling it from their online store.
I'm gonna guess they'll start selling em in AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile stores on contracts. <- That's what I'm waiting for.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, Apple kids. Most of these Apple followers on here are 12 or act like 12. The OP was just asking for a decent replacement.

^^ The point of that video was to show these OCD folks our phones are not only being manufactured by machines, but also by human beings right before they ship it out to you brand new. Many people "touch" your phone before it leaves the factory. It wasn't directed at the OP, but to everyone to gain a better perspective that "flaws" do happen even with latex gloves on. Millions of devices need to be made, and on occasion, there is bound to be errors like dust under the screen.
OP, I say if you like it cutting edge, you could wait for the fall lineup right before Christmas. Lots of good phones get released around that time. If you want to stick with iOS and AT&T, then get a 3GS for cheap on Craigslist or eBay if you can. Alot of your phone decision depends on the carrier you want to use.

There is 6 BILLION people in this world. All of us are different. Heck, even identical twins have different fingerprints, attitudes, and beliefs.
Cell phones is all about choices. All about preferences. Nothing wrong if I like something you don't like and vice-versa.
If people love BlackBerry, let them! I know Drake (the rapper) is a Mac fan, but loves also his BlackBerry. He uses the QWERTY to write his lyrics. Our current President is a CrackBerry addict. Some of those people don't give a rat's ass about camera features or apps they may never use. Too busy for stuff like that. They would rather fix their home, car, or go on vacation than give a damn about what phone they use, let alone, yours.
And if people like Android, nothing wrong with that either...
This isn't religion. It is a phone. Relax.
The problem here is people treat these boards like a twitter account. The point of MR was discussions about Mac related products answers questions about how something works, want to talk about hardware or software.
Lately its become nothing but "cool story bro" threads and whiners who want to badmouth the very reason this site is here, all things Apple.
If you want to fire up your FB account or tweat in order to vent, feel free. If you want to go uber fan boy do it in the general discussion thread.
Look at the other topics on MR, Apple TV, PowerMac, Mac Mini, whatever. You dont find the kind of crap there you do here on the iPhone page. Hell even the iPad forum is pretty civil. This is becoming a place to piss and moan about how you hate the iPhone and are going to get a Droid.
Enough Already.

dont hesitate to bring it back if youre not happy. i just returned mine to at&t a day ago and im thinking about a droid x or incredible. i love apple products, especially macbooks, so i kind of feel like a trader for leaping to android. lets hope a new and improved iphone comes to verizon next year. till then, Droid, here i come!
