Right now its the only airborne flight for FedEx out of Hong Kong going to ANC or MEM, lands in Anchorage Alaska in about 2 hours, 4PM Local Time

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX9168

Has cargo room for 26 pallets carrying 200,000 pounds of cargo. Let's hope all our phones are on it :D

Mine still shows 'In Transit' so this may be the flight :D

edit:

It does say though: Jun 20, 2010 11:04 AM In transit LANTAU ISLAND HK

I set it to UTC time and FlightAware shows departure 10:50pm UTC.

I suppose its not unreasonable to think the package left one FedEx pallet off to another and sat there waiting to be put on the plane.

Mine is still listed as being on Lantau Island, Hong Kong so it must be on a later flight. There is one leaving at 9:44 PM CST tonite so maybe it will be on it. However, it should show a departure scan soon if it will be on that flight. :D :apple:

26 pallets, 200,000 lbs....lets hope thats some of them. I would imagine with how long this has been in planning, that there should be around a million or so for launch in the US, anyone?

If our phones really ARE on this flight, I am sure tom hanks is pissed his character wasn't on that plane. Would have been hilarious to have hundreds on iPhone 4's wash up on the beach.

Surprisingly, you can't get a bar of AT&T on a desert island, so I guess Tom Hanks would just use the boxes to build a raft or something. That would piss off the Order Status mafia.

If only they were Verizon...

He would have been located and rescued in 36 hrs if this had happened. One person missing? No biggie. 20,000 iPhone 4's missing? WE WILL STOP AT NOTHING TO FIND THEM!

Touche...What if Wilson was an iPhone? Talk about product placement...

"We're gonna get outta here iPhone! I promise!"

I'm sure most of us talk to our iPhones anyway.

I never understood that movie...sure Tom Hanks personally delivers the package so FEDEX is reliable...but the plane still crashed! Is it that difficult to vector out of a tropical storm?

Not to snap anyones hopes, but "In Transit" doesn't mean it left. Most likely its still in Hong Kong. My 27" iMac had a, " In Transit: Shanghai, China" and a "Departed Shanghai sort. facility".

You guys are crazy!

And, yes, that's just me being jealous cause mine still says prepared for shipment.

I think they should make it easy and temporarily change any plane carrying iPhones from FedEx to AppleExpress. Kinda like an Air Force One type of call sign.

Excuse me? Some of us are "Not yet shipped".
