iPod touch FedEx "Package Data"

you people complaining and whining are just so sad.
do you ever stop and take a look at yourself?

if it arrives in the first week of october, are you going to
shoot yourself? can you not take it? do you need it in
your hands immediately? never heard anybody whine
so much about a few days.

especially SINCE they said it would ship the 28th. for
those people who do not have packages en route already,
then they have a slightly legitimate reason to complain.
but if your's says it's already on it's way....... and it's
going to arrive on tuesday/wednesday..... that's STANDARD
for shipping.

go step outside for a day, and stop checking tracking numbers
every few minutes. you'll live.

Would people stop with this tired excuse that it wasn't "supposed to ship until the 28th" I was complete fine with my ship date of the 28th until I had one in my hand on the 15th and decided not to buy it because I assumed if stores got them on friday my sept 7th preorder would ship the following Monday and I had NO PROBLEM with that. What pissed me off was that they didn't ship the following week (except for the lucky first day order customers who deserved theirs b4 I got mine). Then this week they totally screwed us all and lied to us. They claimed they shipped a lot of units and A LOT of people were stuck in "Data transmitted" Apple said that they DID leave the warehouse and that was a LIE. FedEx picked them up today! Now my delivery date is the 3rd and guess what? If I don't get it b4 9am on the 3rd I'm going out of town for 1 week on business, so do I risk having someone overnight it to my hotel or do I wait another week for something I could have bought on the 15th. I think a lot of people would have been fine with shipping on the 28th if everything shipped then or at least if they went in order, I've seen people post that they ordered on the 20th (13 days after me) and got theirs b4 me. That is crap no matter how you look at it.
 
Agreed man, this is total crap. Mine is currently in Achorage AK and my sorry butt is in Ohio. Won't see this iPod till never
 
There is one (or more) FedEx plane that left Shanghai a good many hours ago, and is due to arrive in Indiana around 11:30 EST. From Indiana, which is FedEx's primary hub aside from Tennessee, I think, and if you want to look it up...

That's the one that has a lot of iPods on it right now. At the rate everything is going right now, we should have our iPod Touches by Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, depending on where we live. FedEx should truck all the iPods out across the country on Saturday, sit somewhere on Sunday, then Monday... Go time. :D :apple:
 
I have been lurking but decided it was finally time to chime in...

I ordered an engraved 16gb touch on the 16th. On the 27th at 1am I got an email saying it shipped, but FedEx didn't even recognize the tracking number until late yesterday night. Like many others it says that it was picked up by FedEx at 3:05am in Shanghi on the 29th (the future!) Until a few minutes ago there was no listed estimated delivery date. It just showed up as October 8th! I selected 2 to 3 day shipping...

Oh, and this is to Eugene Oregon... nothing in the middle of nowhere.

I'm on hold with apple now to get a shipping refund.

EDIT: Apple rep blamed it on a hurricane... and gave me the money back for the shipping.
I don't really understand why it says October 8th, did they just forget to ship it expedited? Apple told me to call FedEx.

It's just passed into the U.S. after flying over Canada for a few hours.
If Fedex says your iPod left Alaska at 2:17 local time, it's on this plane. From the people I've talked to, alot of us who had "Data transmitted" since Tuesday are on this plane. Some other iPods are also on FDX90, or http://flightaware.com/live/flight/FDX90

so if im in CA, when will i get my iTouch...monday, tuesday or wednesday?

FedEx posts their tracking times in the time zone that your package is in at that time, so it wasn't the future but that would be sweet it the ipt could travel in time:)

I called FedEx and apparently mine was not shipped with any priorty either even though I selected the 2-3 day shipping method...just one more thing they @#$%ed up. But that 8th....I would think you'll get it b4 that but I don't know how shipping works in rural areas...sorry man good luck.

Totally going by FedEx shipping screen shots that have been posted in other threads I think CA, OH and GA have a good shot on Mon/Tues delivery.:D

well, i didnt make it yesterday but it was in mobile at 650 this morn so MAYBE it will come today....:eek:

u think it'll ship by today? mine was in my city too at 6:25 am i'm wondering if they'll put it in a truck and ship it today. i have a feeling that they won't though...maybe if it would have arrived around 4:00 am but not 6.
 
totally outta the blue....do the fedex shipping people (those who drive the trucks) do they work on saturdays?
