No- it isn't. I see this as a good thing- Chrysler's great aesthetics and Fiat's quality. I think it'll be good. I've owned three Chryslers and they were fantastic cars.

I disagree--Chrysler's assembly lines are worth something, especially since they are among the most modern in the industry. Fiat getting access to them means not only does Fiat gets back into the US market through the Chrysler connection, when Alfa Romeo gets back into the US market lower-end Alfa models could be assembled in the USA (aka. MiTo).
