That went down about how I expected. England played pretty well against a superior opponent, but in the end Argentina had the edge.

100% rooting for Spain in the final.

But this was a great tournament for England. When the sting of this loss wears off I think most fans will see it as a good campaign.

Perhaps, but I don’t think England were ever going to either out-score or out-possess them. It was a tight game decided by one goal assisted by probably history’s greatest player.

Spain may prove me wrong and successfully contain them. I hope so.

I can’t pin this on the ref/VAR/FIFA. Argentina won this fair and square.
