Apparently depending on results, England could be playing the US on the 4th of July I was told earlier. That will be fun!
I think and hope England go far. Appointing Tuchel was a great move, an extremely professional manager and highly pedantic. Leaving a number of high profile players back at home wasn't a power move, it was impressive and necessary. With Kane up front, give him high octane runners and you can get the trophy.
Tuchel created something that is the complete opposite of the superstar failure team from the days of Lampard, Gerrard and Rooney.
Thankfull I don't have to listen to Zlatan these days.
Zlatan is a caricature of a bully. It used to work while he was playing because he could score a great goal once every six months and milk that, but now... Just an egomaniac who could never help his team win the CL.
Having played in Juventus, Inter, PSG and Barcelona, it isn't talked about enough today. Failing that should be considered a crime. Teams won it right before he joined or right after he left. Ouch.
That penalty retake was utter BS.
Does anybody believe they would have called that if the first one had gone in?
(Talking England Croatia here, to be clear)
Croat here, not really bothered. The goalie left the line, the refereeing is harsher in some instances, I am okay with it.
If it was the other way around and we missed that, then no, no retake.
Livaković amazes me. I still hope that the Three Lions will make the Final this year.
He is a goalie that relies on being overwhelmed. He shines in a team that concedes 10 chances, he'll save 7-8. But outside of an unfavorable game-state, he isn't it.
Saw a piece on the news this morning, folks from around the world gushing over the wonderful food here in the US, gems like Raisin' Canes, Taco Bell, Waffle House and BuCees. 😂
I don't think all or even most of these are paid, people are genuinely impressed because it's all soo tasty and sweet. Showcasing an inability to think long term.
