Its an effort to cut down on abuse after the vini jr/prestianni incident. The rules have been pretty clear cut since.

Delighted by my team’s two goals, but Sweden was definitely the better team after that infernal water break. I really hate that we play four quarters now, instead of two halves. Abominatiion.

We need to come back stronger in the second half.

I think the closest you will get is probably baseball or hockey. American Football - not really, soccer - not really a big sport in the U.S., and well the NBA... not so much.

But I agree, there is nothing quite like the chants we have been hearing... I think it is pretty cool to be honest.

It’ll be interesting to see how you do against Japan.

But the Dutch team seemed to be in good form, wait until they come up against a tough opponent like Argentina or France.

Ivory Coast only have themselves to blame. Incredibly wasteful and Kessie's first touch was shocking the whole game...even the goal he scored was accidental.

Credit to ze Germans for fighting back.

Côte d'Ivoire were very unlucky as they totally outplayed the Germans technically and tactically. Unfortunately for them, the Germans had the mental strength to recover. The Africans have been a breath of fresh air to this WC showing how poor the Germans actually are. Let's hope they go far as they are the most entertaining team so far. The Germans are trash.
 
If ever England were to do it then this needs to be it. This is Harry Kane's last tournament before the legs go. Remove him and Bellingham from that team and it's another team of plodders who fail in the shadow of the 1966 curse.

Yep, absolutely - he gets big praise in Swedish press today, just wow.

At the same time the whole Swedish defence are strongly criticised for their bad performance yesterday.
See what Potter will change to next game?
