Can someone tell Apple to wake the hell up

Image playground integration on Final Cut, are we even being serious here?

This update is very disappointing. Not just for the totally useless Image Playground, at least at this point, but for the proof of lack of interest in Apple towards Final Cut Pro. I love the magnetic timeline and the way Final Cut is designed, I use it professionally everyday, but today I am starting to look somewhere else. There is a long time since Apple does not deliver useful and interesting features, I don't know if something big is coming or the product is just dying.

Adjustment Layers. FINALLY! It works as expected.

Image Playground had me wrinkle my nose but if this is a precursor for Apple Intelligence generators, then holy crap this is gonna amazing. The few included dynamic backgrounds and having to buy more from third parties or learn Motion has always been a limitation. Now if Apple Intelligence could generate dynamic backgrounds from a prompt, that'll be a real improvement.

ADJUSTMENT LAYERS HOLY CRAP FINALLY

That could really come in handy for some of my video projects! It's probably the only feature about this update I'm interested in. Over the years, with my YouTube Poop production, Final Cut Pro just keeps getting better and better for making them, with a wide variety of video and audio effects and distortion tools, adding built-in motion tracking, and the Voice Isolation feature, and most recently the Magnetic Mask.

And that magnetic timeline is indeed useful in my YTP production. I know DaVinci Resolve and Magix Vegas Pro and even Cyberlink PowerDirector (which does come in a Mac version) have been adding such features (including similar A.I.-assisted rotoscope mask tools).
Here is a sample of what I've been doing in Final Cut Pro!

The 'big features' were they added adjustment layers and movable timeline markers. BUT those timeline markers can't move outside of each clip.... what the f.... I can't believe they are STILL adding basic features that were in FCP 7... and every single other editing app.

Here's my detailed article about the new update:
https://www.provideocoalition.com/final-cut-pro-11-1-released/

Adjustment Clips are great, and much more convenient than the Adjustment Layers everyone's been using for years now. Plus you can fade them! They're still more powerful than Adjustment Layers in Premiere Pro, because in FCP, they can control transforms, not just color.

Wake me up when they add proper role and/or track based audio mixing. It’s baffling all audio is clip based, as apple also make Logic 🤷‍♂️ I’ve been asking Apple directly for this (including in person at FCPX events) since 2016 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Feels as sensible as Adobe adding Firefly to InDesign. There is so much sensible stuff to do with FCP/Motion.

Yeah… and hoping it will not become a subscription based app for macOS….
They can add the subscription option to macOS but they cannot force everyone who bought Final Cut Pro to switch to subscription…

Everyone will become crazy then…
