Denver Colorado
For the first time today, I saw a station selling gas at $2.97 a gallon here in Denver Colorado. Lets hope the price keeps on dropping at least another dollar.

I paid $3.81 / gallon for regular when I filled up earlier this week. Gas prices in NC are still artificially high almost a month after Hanna disrupted supply. They seem to have finally started dropping a bit yesterday... Costco's down to $3.44 / gallon.

well its just that time of year when prices fall

it was under 3 last year at this time as well

however, the trend is always upward

Have you checked the price of crude oil futures recently? It closed at about $77 / barrel today. If it looses $4 more it will cost half of what it did a few months ago.

Since moving to Chicago three months ago, gas prices are at there all time low here of $3.65. For the most part we have been solidly over $4/gal.

My wife flies for the airlines - I'm hoping that these lower oil prices will allow her to keep her job. We'll see. :(

I hear that OPEC is convening "emergency sessions" to discuss this price drop because it suddenly means less money for them (boo hoo). They'll probably vote to cut production so that the price will increase again.

Bastards.

I just paid $2.95 at BJ's. They say it is the cheapest gas in the state right now.

Here too, I filled up earlier this week at a Shell station and it was $3.49 for regular which was right on the dot the national average, while the bigger cities in the state had it for less than $3!
