Looks good! The friends delete swipe is buggy though, the button appears unaligned.

I can't figure it out either. I tried signing out and back in, but it just won't register my pic.

Edit: Figured it out. Make sure the email address you use for find my friends is listed under your contact. My find my friends is an @mac, but I only had the @icloud in my contact. It didn't register it. As soon as I switched it, it worked. It has to match perfectly, meaning caps and lowercase have to match your contact.

I did exactly that after I spent 2 min with the app. Thanks for the tip though!

Like Notes this thing has yellow text and icons on white background!

That's death penalty in graphics design!

Why do you guys support this?!

Luckily, a good graphic designer can tell the difference between yellow and orange.

So my family and I are stalking each other when we use the app to let each of us know where we are at so we can a better idea when we will be at a certain place.

Not only that but it easily allows us to meet up with each other. Not to long ago I was going to a game with some friends and was meeting them somewhere so we can all go in the same car. All I had to do was open the app and get directions to where they were.

Thanks for letting me know that we are stalking each other...

Seriously! Just because YOU use it for it's intended purpose, you automatically assume everyone else is.

This, it's the only Apple iOS app that has yet to be updated.
**cough cough** 2andahalfyears **cough cough**
But, and I just found this out today, the app is free now. Downloaded to my phone to play around with it, works great for the new OS X Keynote app.

I learned the same thing. Never got it because I didn't want to pay for an App receiving no support whatsoever - Apple or not.

I just found it a couple of days ago for Free. Must have happened when iWork and iLife went free. Oddly enough, I had it in AppShopper, and never got an alert that it dropped in price.

Still does track movement

Still does NOT track my movement.

The blue dot that represents me, does not move as I do. It's stuck from where I launch the app. Thought I can tell it is tracking me, because the map moves, but the blue dot does not.....buggy

It's not the last Apple app to be updated - there is still Keynote Remote to be done.

For an app that hasn't been updated since its launch, I was surprised to see that it still works. I used it with the new iOS version of Keynote, over Bluetooth, and it worked just fine. I'd even be happy to have it take up the whole iPhone 5 screen.

Glad to see that Find My Friends got some iOS 7 love.

And explain again why anyone would accept an invitation to this stalker app?

I'll stick to the app "Places I've Pooped" (yes, it's real...would be better if you could choose a description of the turd)....

No need to explain it, those who find uses for it use it, those who don't, don't. No convincing of anyone one way or another needed.

Find My Friends on Desktop

Does Apple plan to release this as a desktop app? Makes sense.

Does it work?

The only new feature I'm looking for is that it actually works. The old one hasn't been able to find a person standing next to me in months, just "location not available." I've uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted the other person, added them again, nothing fixes it.

How does one do this? I never have seen this setting.

The app has to be installed 1st and set it up how you want it. then:

Settings > general > restrictions (enable this and make a passcode only you know) then scroll towards the bottom there is an area called "allow changes" and there you will find "find my friends". Click on that and click on "don't allow changes"

They can't make any changes or even delete the app. If you need anymore help, let me know. :)

Seriously! Just because YOU use it for it's intended purpose, you automatically assume everyone else is.

Or maybe YOU should quit assuming it is being used for the wrong thing. Last time I checked it has this thing called "Request" where you have to actually request the specific someone so you can see them on the map. Not only that I am also pretty sure that someone can set it to where it doesn't automatically update it's position and that someone has to ask you if you have it setup that way.

So if the APP is being used for stalking then it is entirely the fault of the person who actually accepted the request. Then if the person knows that their location is being shared with someone I don't know if I would quite call that stalking. I mean it isn't like I can just automatically see your location when I don't even know you. So I'm failing to see the stalking part.

You're not stalking someone if they gave you permission and gave permission to share their location anytime with them. If they target gives the ok that doesn't fall into my definition of stalking. Highly doubt it even falls in a legal definition of stalking.

Sorry, but I just call it "different" and therefore immediately rejected by people like you.

Somehow gratuitous photorealistic graphics and a mishmash of dark brown colors makes text easier to read? Sorry, you can call the new design boring, thats your opinion, but I can't agree with harder to read. The weight of the chrome is so much lighter that almost all emphasis is placed on the text. It stands out against the lighter background, making it much more emphasized and more in-focus. It draws your eyes to the words and map within the app, rather than the UI chrome clashing for your attention. When I look at the two side by side, its literally like someone turned on the lights and everything is much easier to see and comprehend, rather than the dark and heavy visual weight of the previous design.

You can call it ugly, but to say its harder to read....I think you're just overreacting to a change your brain isn't accustomed to.

Beside ugliness, that is a relative subject, there are facts. And a fact is that your read worse on top of a picture or blurred picture. That big status bar/toolbar at the top is just a wast of space.
