As a matter of fact, the OnePlus Sandstone Case actually is for both the original iPhone 6 as well as the iPhone 6s. I received mine today and I am very pleased with it. In my opinion, it feels more premium than the Silicone Case from Apple and it also looks slimmer. The materials they used provides an extra grip and makes the case feel solid, but I guess you have to like the sandstone material in general.
For me, this product is above expectations and it is a definitive replacement for the Silicone Case (which is my first case, this is my second). You have to like the OnePlus brand though (which I do a lot), otherwise you are really not going to like the logo on the case. But all I can say is that personally I really like it!

Also, the packaging was done nicely.

Here are some pictures of the case, for the ones that are actually interested in it and want to have a closer look.

Ah, my kingdom for drop protection!

Excuse me, I don't seem to understand.
Oh. . . . :D

Sorry! I only meant that this case would absolutely be my ideal if it offered impact protection. Unfortunately, although a cover such as this one guards against abrasions and enhances grip, it would do nothing if the phone took a tumble.

Perhaps @blue rocket could introduce an alternate design that features soft lining and corner reinforcement.

Kind regards,
Brian

Yea that is true, but I was not stating it did. I was just saying that the case itself felt very solid, more than the case I had before this one. For me, it is mostly the enhanced grip I am looking for.

If you are seriously looking for a case that does offer some good protection, then no, this is not the case for you. But again, I was not stating that this was the right case for that.

Edit: Oh, excuse me sir. I now see that you are the topic starter and that this case probably does not meet your needs as stated in the opening post. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the Sandstone case in general, though. But forgive me, I am quite new around here.

Last years apple leather case is the best. If you can find one you can get it cheaper

It's really not a problem. I am glad you like your case!

Hello!

Does anyone here have experience with the

- BODYGUARDZ Contact Case (or the Shock)
- Skech Hard Rubber
- Totallee Doberman

Thanks,
Brian

I have always liked the ballistic urbanite. Doesn't seem to get much love in these parts.
Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it seems the Urbanite more than doubles the phone's thickness. Do any of you have experience with Ballistic's "Jewel"? It's apparently comparable to the New Trent Trenti 6L that @AlliFlowers recommends.

I know @kgenova is a fan of Speck's CandyShell Grip. Initially, I wasn't too keen on the Grip, but I recently got my hands on one in-store. I think it's more appealing in person than in pictures, so I've moved it higher on my list.

Indeed, I'll soon be able to offer a revised and expanded list, if you all are interested.

Kind regards,
Brian

Apple changed the width of the case to fit the larger 6s and 6s Plus sizes. I had one but had to return it because it didn't protect the bottom of the phone at all unless you happened to drop it more on the back side by chance.

I originally bought a Spigen ultra hybrid for my 6s plus which was a really nice case and offered a decent amount of drop protection, all ports were large enough to fit any 3rd party headphones or lightning port. I recently bought a leather Apple case which I managed to get for just $29aus and I love it. I don't like that the bottom of it is open but I like the case that much that I can live with it.

The Ballistic Jewel is a great case. It isn't as grippy as the CandyShell Grip (pretty much nothing is!), but it is pleasantly grippy and is supposed to provide 6 ft of drop protection. The corners are big--they stick out for protection--but the rest of it isn't that huge. It is smaller than the Ballistic Urbanite. I reviewed it a while back:

Both of these look a lot like the NewTrent that I like so much.

Seriously I think the diztronic cases have been superb. I had one for my 6 and now for my 6s plus. Very slim, nice lip, great protection. Just overall a great case. Matte too for grippyness.

;)

It's also twice the price. I wonder if it's worth it?

Ah, now that's interesting! I know about Diztronic cases, but the "Voyeur" model mentioned above is one I hadn't seen. It's not even listed on Diztronic's site, at least not for the 6s Plus. Still, I'll consider it.

Brian

I haven't seen the jewel in person but I love the urbanite in carbon fiber for the 5s. Nice lip and plenty of protection. Haven't seen the 6 version yet.

It's a really nice case. Fwiw on my 6 I dropped it 15 ft @ work onto metal grating. Phone was fine (screen protector cracked that's it). It's a great minimal case with protection.

So I've gone back to my Spigen ultra hybrid case as the Apple case didn't provide enough protection on the bottom of the phone. The Spigen case pretty much ads no bulk at all and is slim all around.

Yes, leather is not a good material for shock absorption.

Thanks for letting me know.

Hi, Truefan31 - A reviewer on Amazon wrote,

"[T]he material feels much cheaper than they appear. The back window showing the apple icon looks as if it were cut out with scissors. When placed on a flat surface, the case does not lay flat and favors one corner. The 4 corners of the case are a nice addition as it allows for added protection, but beyond that, the aesthetics and feel of the case are rather poor."

I take it you and others might disagree. Do you think it's likely this person received a knock-off?

Thanks,
Brian

I disagree but to each his own. It's a matte rubbery case. It can flex which might cause the reviewer saying when u lay it down all 4 feet (it has little nubs on the bottom corners so it rests above the surface but it's not crazy crooked or anything. The window I think is just fine. It's clear yet it's not a hole so the logo is still protected. It's got a nice lip on the front also. And the case is only 10.00. I think it's one of the best out there.

Here's a reviewer dropping it:

I dropped my iPhone 6 like 15 feet onto grating with this case on. No damage other than the screen protector. So I got one for my 6s plus.
