Not much to choose from;
pixel xl or IPhone 7 plus (sold out till November)

Yeah, or LG v20. I need to look at reviews and figure it out. I tried the 7 plus but had buzzing and popping noises. Is that still an issue?

Not really.
Picked up two iPhone 7 pluses on launch day, one had the hissing noise and the yellow screen, the other was perfect.

Apple exchanged the defective one for a brand new one same day, they carry additional inventory just for exchanges.

Wish lg went with the 821 instead of the 820.
You also don't get any of the new android features that are exclusive to the pixel.

Care to post a pic of the bottom edge?
The one with the dent or the scratches.
You know for my insecurity. ;)

If you wish, see no headphone port to prove I have an iPhone 7, would you like photos of my iPad Pro and MacBook Pro too??? Does it confuse you that people with Apple devices criticise them?

Not the headphone jack, you claimed to have dropped the phone and that it was scratched up on one of the bottom corners, just wanted to see for myself.

No I'm shocked that after months of you posting that the galaxy s7 and note 7 were superior to the iPhone 7, that you actually went out and bought an iPhone instead of a galaxy.

Never said that, I think you've been misreading my posts mate. I don't even remember saying a thing about the S7. All I said was the Note is the only device worthy of the phablet name IN MY OPINION, because everything else is just a bigger screen phone and seems pointless. That's why I've bought a Note 5 and would never have a big screen iPhone or Galaxy S phone. And I didn't exactly make it a secret I had a iPhone 6S that I sold for the iPhone 7... you need to read all the posts someone makes to make assumptions about them.
It's like I've not touched my computer since I got my iPad Pro which I've used every single day, but people would still call me an Apple hater or I work for Samsung because they read 4 of my posts from one thread.... I'd love to work for Samsung typing comments on Internet forums, easy peasy job I think and you can do it from home.

Googles new assistant and mayday feature is what I was looking at.

Here is the entire list:

The full list of Pixel-specific enhancements is a mix of hardware-specific stuff and Google's software and services:

Pixel Launcher—swipe up for all apps, new Search Box, date/weather header on home
Google Assistant
Unlimited original quality photo/video backup to Google Photos
Smart Storage—when storage is full, automatically removes old backed up photos/videos
Phone/Chat support (new support tab in settings), screen-share functionality
Quick switch adapter for wired setup from Android or iPhone
Pixel Camera:
Electronic Image Stabilization (“video stabilization”) 2.0
Pro Features
White Balance Presets
Exposure Compensation
AE/AF Locking
Viewfinder grid modes
HW-accelerated (on Qualcomm Hexagon coprocessor) HDR+ image processing
Smartburst
Sensor Hub processor with tightly integrated sensors (accel, gyro, mag) + connectivity (Wi-Fi, Cell, GPS)
Cosmetic
Solid navbar icons with home affordance for Assistant
SysUI accent color theming
Wallpaper picker with new wallpapers and sounds
New setup look and feel
Dynamic calendar date icon

Honestly, to me, the Pixel is a downgrade.

No SDCARD, no wireless charging, no OIS and other things. Pixel to me is behind the times. I like the idea of the google Assistant, but the LG V20 has all the features above except google assistance and more.

Straight up refund. Using an old microsoft lumia 640 crappy go phone to hold me by tiill I can find something.
We waited an hour and they couldn't do anything for me because by the time it was our turn their service center was closed and could not process anything for me except an exchange for another Samsung product. Waste of an hour. I'm pretty annoyed.

That is weird because the lady did it for me all on the computer and never mentioned she needed to contact anyone. Wonder if it was a load of BS from your store.

Could be. We got there an hour before closing time and our turn came up close to closing time.

So?Just because we state that the Samsung is superior in many aspects doesn't mean the iPhone isn't also in some aspect .I own a 7 plus and have no qualms admitting that the displays on Samsung are the best on the planet .The reason I got the iPhone are for the actual software apps and integration in the ecosystem

Leads to credibility.
You believe one smartphone to be superior but purchase what you believe to be the inferior instead.

Credibility.

Not really.

Outside the obvious battery issues (if they never existed) the Note 7 from a hardware and value perspective is arguably a better device.

Yet I still got an iPhone 7 (mainly because of cheap upgrade as my neighbour bought my 6S at a good price).

You can acknowledge a devices power and hardware prowess without buying it. They can exists exclusive if each other.

Value and hardware perspectives are in the eye of the beholder so to speak.

Of course you can appreciate different hardware and devices. However with that being said, credibility fails when you purchase the device that you fervently believe is inferior and lacks value and stems from company that is (insert derogatory term) or whatever apple is referred to these days, and the reason given was that they had an Apple Watch; so thy were going to get one the whole time anyway.

Credibility nill.

Yugo was best car ever made. Other than fact it was a piece of steaming dung. It arguably was better than walking.

I never owned one, but can acknowledge it's ability to get people to places most of the time.

I'd go Note5, if you really wanted a Note7, depending on the features that mean the most to you.

The 5 doesn't have the expandability or water resistance...but other than that it's still awesome.

So is the new iPhone7+ (for different features), though. I looove the gloss black one...

Decisions, decisions, mate.

Yeah, I decided to just get something that is proven. Went with the iPhone 7 plus 256gb model. Matte Black. I'll look again next year if a Note comes out.

Congrats. Your going to love the matte black. Decided to go with the jet black instead, should be here next week.
