Never really understood what the big deal is. It doesn't load pages as quickly as Safari, and it takes for ever for it to launch.

Was that an earlier version of Vienna, and did you remember to empty the trash every now and then? I run the latest version, and now it doesn't slow that much down once the trash fills up (and the developers have added an empty trash function). So now Vienna typically just uses 5-10% CPU while updating my ~20 subscriptions (less then 0.5% the rest of the time), and only uses ~30 MB RAM... not exactly a hog anymore...emaja said:[...]I tried Vienna, but it seemed painfully slow and as much of a resourse hog as Safari was for me.
Already got its own thread. With a link to YouTube, where you can watch the ad without crashing Firefox in the process (again: Oh, the irony...)jayb2000 said:
I had a similar problem when I launched it the first time (after upgrading from the first UB beta). After I quit and re-opened it, it's running perfectly.technicolor said:this update sucks

That's because some websites don't know about it and check for "Firefox" in the user agent string (instead of Gecko like they're supposed to), if you download CamiTools and set it to spoof the user agent as Firefox 1.5, all of those pages magically work correctly in Caminobousozoku said:It's a good browser and I used to use it until Firefox became stable. I tried Camino recently and, despite having the same rendering engine, it had more problems than Firefox. It is really fast, though.

Since I'm using Apple, I see no use for Fiefox. Half of the time it doens't work on the sites where Safari won't work
I was really impressed by firefox initially, tons of plugins etc. But I kinda of agree it's not that fast, especially in mac and fedora. My farorite now is Opera, free and extremly fast.spencecb said:Mozilla officially released an update to Firefox today that made it Universal.
