When surfing the internet on a powerful laptop such as MBP, I don't care much about my browser's speed as long as it runs normally. Safari 4 is slightly faster overall, but I just love this theme for FF.

I have to say I use Safari more often than FF. FF has AdBlock and a wider array of multitouch gestures, but it's not as lean as Safari. I really like the new tabbing in Safari, too (although Apple should incorporate the "twist" gesture).

I cant stand Safari, i used to swear by it, but now whenever i try to minimize a window or tab (i usually have 4 or 5 windows open at once) the whole program goes to my dock and it drives me insane, Firefox is much more practical for me.

Also firefox has a new feature called Ubiquity that you can addon yourself, which whilst i know isnt completely finished already works amazingly well, and once you use it you wont be able to live without it anymore, if I had to ever delete Ubiquity now then it would be like cutting my hands off, its the next major step for the internet in my opinion and its going to blow browsers like IE and Safari out of the water.

Watch the vid if you dont know what its about:

wow ubiquity is pretty cool. but what is to stop the other browsers from coming up with there own version of this tho? it doesnt seem like it is something that can be protected by patents and such. but none the less it is a pretty amazing and powerful add-on.

mozilla is not patent troll. they would be happy to have other browser makers pick up the idea and benifite the end users.

thats why its oss and non-profit.

Actually... I some times run both!! Here's Safari 4 beta.
Now you can browse the web using coverflow!!! SWEET!! Can't do that in firefox...

That's one of the features I loved about Opera. Safari 4 preempting it, and adding greater speed to boot, make it the winner. I'm not sure if I like Safari adding pages to coverflow, or doing it yourself in Opera.

I'm just waiting for someone to get busted for looking at a web site they're not supposed to from a spouse or boss pulling up the coverflow page.

That's exactly what I thought when I launched Safari 4 for the first time. And maybe that's why I uninstalled it...
