I've been in the gym going on 12years now. I got the bluebud x years ago with comply tips. Upgraded to X1 then x2's and now freedoms and they are amazing for the gym. I use them everyday.Agreed these are not appealing at all. But being I am a serious weightlifter for fitness (Three hours a day), these are exactly what I was looking for convenience and battery life. The regular EarPods fit perfect for me and these are the next best thing for me. I will be cautious with mositure exposure until Apple can improve this feature.
I've never had an issue going over ear and behind the head on the hairline so you can turn and it doesn't get caught on anything. I've had Bluetooth for 4 years nowAnd the
Just looked at these on their site. The problem with these is they're not wireless. There's a wire between the earphones.
I had Beats headphones that had the exact same issue. You either put the wire behind your head, or in front of it. And it gets caught in hair, clothing, collars, all sorts.
The thing about AirPods is that they're actually wireless
Thanks budYou don't need to understand, it don't concern you.
You have no proof of this claim.
In order for this to be true you would need to know what each individual purchasing is considering as wonderful.
Be sad, nobody cares.
When your opinion matters, someone will let you know.

I've never had an issue with it getting hooked on anything or stuck in my hair. The way I have them is over the ear and along my hair and you can turn freely. I wouldnt be caught dead wearing these earphones.
I've never felt that way about my jaybird earbuds. I love in ear and blocking out the outside world. Do the apple ones do that? The sound quality of the freedoms is amazing for what they are. Never cared about the wire behind my head. They don't pull or bother me.Let me have a go at explaining. Wireless earphones are about freedom and convenience, and horses for courses. When you're listening to music on a crowded noisy bus, you don't need to appreciate the finer nuances. Or in my case, when you're in a busy office, and you can wear headphones if you want, but you move around a lot, then these are the ideal solution for me.
Other ways of listening to music encroach on you to some extent. Over-ear headphones weigh on your head, in-ear earphones encroach into your ears, wires get in your way,... eventually that starts affecting your enjoyment of the music. The attraction of a lightweight no-fuss solution is it allows you to get lost in the music...
If you can move around and have them stay in your ears doing weight training than me and you are different. The standard EarPods in the box never fit my ears. Especially leaning back on a bench. They fall out of my ears way too easily.I'm not to concerned about someone's thoughts when I'm wearing the Airpods when lifting weights or focusing on my work outs. But that said, I wouldn't subject the Airpods to moisture until Apple can improve this. But I agree there are likely more comfortable and appropriate Earbuds for weightlifting.

The cable for the iPhone, Apple Watch, and wired EarPods don't fit inside their respective products, either. I'd rather keep the carry case small enough that I can easily carry it in my pocket.
but do they fall out?
I can tell by looking at these AirPods they will not stay in my ear. I had a hard time keeping the wired ones in my ear. I'll just stay wit my LG Ultra headset. It works perfect for my gym work outs and long runs.
So you carry the case around, but when you need the HUGE cable that would make a HUGE CASE if it were somehow integrated to it, you find yourself dumb: it was to HUGE to carry around too !
Walk your way with your useless cableless case man.
The case can charge them up to 5 times for up to 25 hour playback. What's your issue? Or are complaining to complain cause thatnapunds very accurate.AHAHAH what a joke.

They are louder than the Backbeat Fits, but have less isolation. How are they in noisy conditions like walking around where there is a lot of traffic?
Past Bluetooth headsets I had, some were not loud at all.
I found the Plantronics Backbeats to be the best I have used in the past.
TIA
They gave a good thump from how I initially seated them. As with any in ears, they need to be in the right position. Fortunately there's no real trick to it, they seem to sit just right every time for me.Glad to hear these sound better. Like the current EarPods do you need to push them in a bit to get the bass or is the seal better with the AirPods?
What? That is very much the intended behaviour. You take it out to pause and listen to people or what's around you. The first day alone was a revelation in how convenient that feature is.One thing I have noticed. When you take one out music stops. I thought they carried on playing through one AirPod.
When you press Play then the music carries on but I thought they were clever enough to know you'd taken one out and just carried on playing in the AirPod in your ear.

Silly Billy, either blinded by hate or trolling! Or bit if both!
I'm sorry but this is absurd by Apple's logic regarding the new MBP move to exclusive USB-C. If this "common sense" approach was valid they would have left at least one or two USB-A ports around (as you likely have a million USB-A peripherals lying around). At the very least I'd say Apple doesn't have a unified vision of hardware integration across lines.
The regular EarPods were never an issue for me. Perhaps that's why the Airpods will work for me. Every ear is different.
[doublepost=1482211343][/doublepost]I doubt it will get 10 hours of battery life. Maybe think next time you decide to comment.
[doublepost=1482110723][/doublepost]
hahaha looks like you do not own one to even figure out it will barely get 4.5hrs let alone 6hrs on a full charge.. maybe next time you should own a product before you decide to comment![]()
Mine is ok, maybe your's is damaged?

Stop it
How was I being hateful or trolling? If anyone here is extreme and un-nuanced, it's you.
Let me break it down in peaces for you.
You are bashing a product without having tried one (and please don't give me that "they look the same" BS) in a forum that is full of trolls and Apple haters with whatever agenda they may have, which makes this forum kind of unpleasant for people who want to share their honest opinion. You tell me what I am supposed to think about you? Bashing a product without trying one is trolling in my book (or simply just hate driven comment)
I didn't illogically bash a product that I haven't used. I used reason to get to my statement. The AirPods are ergonomically identical to EarPods. The only difference is that they are wireless. So I used my previous experience with EarPods, combined it with the information there is out there on AirPods, and came to a conclusion. Does that sound like trolling?
You, on the other hand, saw an opinion you didn't like, and then immediately dismissed me as a troll. Which one of us used more logic and reasoning to come to our conclusions?
And still you refuse to accept that without trying a product you can not make a judgement. I have used earpods and I had them falling all time when or doing things. Not having a corde makes massive difference ergonomically, and I am not even going to discuss the sound quality which is arguably better. So yeah, I still stick with a logic that if you want to make a honest judgement about a product, you got to try it first.
Wireless: keyboard, mouse and trackpad. Headphones now. iPhone syncs with wifi (flaw is you need to connect via cable first then enable this feature). Apple had wireless accessories for years and connection has been done right from day one ! Just like the airpods.
The only other accessories required for LAN connection Apple doesn't make any longer. Apple is essentially reviving aftermarket accessory makers with this change. So like developers from their platforms (iOS watchOS, TVOS etc) everybody benefits from the MBP purchases.

The regular EarPods used to fall out my ears a few yrs ago as well. I found then a slight turn when inside my ears would work. Turn up away from the ear lobe or turn down towards the ear lobe. Now I don't need to.
Others in the gym use over the ear headphones.
