Performance increase, I'm all for that.

The emoji stuff, I find a complete waste and distraction. Filler.
Lol by the look of your avatar, you need it the most. ;)

Better performance is literally the only thing in iOS 12 that holds ANY interest for me. Perhaps the most underwhelming iOS update ever. Oh well, iOS 11 doesn’t need much anyway.
Even grouped/enhanced notifications? I think that's one feature that basically everyone will appreciate.

Two recent improvements I have noticed and quite liked (even in 11.4):

Face ID works a lot better: it even works while lying on a pillow now - this was sorely missing when the X was first introduced. You literally had to sit up in bed, or manually enter the passcode.

Portrait Mode is a lot better looking now in terms of blur and separation of subject vs. background.
Also, portrait mode works a lot *closer now - meaing that you can focus on objects around 1' away from the camera. (it used to be that the closest focusing distance was2'-3' away.

Speed - the X just feels very fluid and fast.

I have installed iOS 12 on my old 5S and iPad Air and it is surprising responsive. Don't yet have the balls to put it on my X...

Shucks. I guess a few lucky devs dont get to update. My iphone 6s was never even enrolled and it fails to find iOS 12. My MacBook say's its enrolled but when I try to download Mojave a little pop down dialog says my macbook isn't enrolled. I guess I just get to wait. Ultimate first world problem here. :(
You probably speaking of the public beta which is not available yet. Later this month so they say.

is Animoji/memoji still limited to the iPhone X only?
God I hope so :D

Does anyone know if I use a developer certificate to install iOS 12, will I be able to update to the public beta? Or will I have to restore back to 11.4 and then install the public beta certificate?
No just change the profile certificate to public instead of dev. (see next post too)

I was curious about this as well, but haven't come across the answer yet. I'm curious if we would just delete the Developer Profile off the phone and then re-add the public profile once it is available...
Yes, you simply remove the dev and add the public. But there is no need to as the DEV and public are the same once they start releasing the public. Its typically around DEV beta 3 when PB becomes available.

XxAnonymousxX, do you have a developer account or just have the Developer Profile from doing the google search? Is your phone the iPhone X? let me know if you take the plunge and do it... I won't until I get home as I want a good backup in case I need to roll back to 11.4...

Just the developer profile. Yes it’s an iPhone X and I installed it today. Have been using it for hours and so far it’s running great. I most definitely can tell a noticeable difference in speed with everything. Only bugs I’ve encountered was not able to delete all vm messages at one. Other than that, battery has been good and performance is great overall

Please explain this statement? I, and I'm sure many others, would like to know what you mean by, "balance of power..."

The balance of power was regarding the previous sentence lamenting that Apple sided against users with regard to using device tools to control the domains that one connects to. Many people use it for adblock in apps, but there are serious privacy implications to not having those controls available widely.

Yes but it’s right in the HomeKit app settings so it is something new. I am hopeful that Siri Shortcuts will be huge to HomeKit. Friday there is a deep dive session for HomeKit so I’m sure we will learn a lot more then about HomeKit newness...
I hope so, and yes i'm hopeful for Siri Shortcuts - I still don't know why you can't add speakers into a homekit scene, but at least we should be able to do something similar with Siri Shortcuts.

One of my annoyances with HomePod is it can't do multiple requests, so at least i'll be able to program multiple requests into one shortcut. Get's pretty darn annoying saying hey siri before every small request xD

Has anyone had issues with Personal Hotspot with the new beta on an iPhone X? This is one of the issues highlighted by Apple that "might" be a problem.

Bug I noticed is that when I’m using the music app and just using the iPhone speakers to listen to music, the battery drains fast. It doesn’t happen if I listen via headphones or any Bluetooth device. Dropped 10% in less than 15 mins of only listening to music
