I have the image downloaded on my 2011 MBP. I guess I can't install it since that Mac doesn't have usb-c...

Hopefully these changes are in iOS 13 ?

Did they fix the Phone app? Where forever it would hijack your phone with an incoming call, where it should be a minimal banner heads up notification that drops down from the top, that has options to accept, or decline the call.

AoD ( Always on Display ) yet?

App anywhere placement? Been waiting, what, 12 years for this feature. Blows me away that you can't pick an app icon, and rag it and place it anywhere you'd like on the homescreen.

App Icon packs? Would be nice to have a option to change away from the same looking dated app icons that have been around, what 6 or 7 years since iOS 7 ?

Default apps option? Let the user decide which apps we want as default, not what Apple forces you with no choice.
Uh, can’t care too much about these. Coolness won’t get the job done.

Here's a hint for those running into issues updating to iOS 13:
"macOS 10.15 beta or Xcode 11 beta is required to sync or update a device running iOS & iPadOS 13" aka RTFM. :)
I hope I can OTA and still use High Sierra when iOS 13 is officially out. Mojave kills my MacBook Air.

I agree that presentation was underwhelming, especially WatchOS. Glad for iPad. Not blown away for iOS 13. Nothing announced has me on the edge of my seat waiting for fall.

I have Xcode 11 installed, I'm just not seeing the download links at all.

Does anyone know, for the new HomeKit security camera features....will this require new hardware?

One of the companies mentioned was Logitech, which offers one of the few HomeKit security cameras (Circle 2).

Just curious if anyone has heard or read anything related to this (There's so much info & the HomeKit / CarPlay details seems lower on the coverage scale, lol)

Also, with iOS 13 you can 3D touch the wifi icon in control center to bring up a list of existing connections and select the one you prefer.

Apple has added a new privacy-focused Sign In With Apple feature that's designed to allow you to sign in with websites and apps via Apple rather than through services like Google and Facebook.

You can use your Apple ID to authenticate your login, and developers will be provided with a unique, random ID. You can even keep your email address private by using a randomized email address generated by Apple, and logins can all be authenticated using Face ID or Touch ID.

That alone, is brilliant. No more having to use stupid F.book or Google to sign in, or to even use my email - love it.

Couple things I've found in the first hours:
  • Springboard crashes sometimes when setting a new wallpaper.
  • You can force-touch or long-press downloading or "waiting" apps to Prioritize them.
  • iCloud music library is turned ON by default! Gross! It's listed as "Sync Library".
  • No idea where App Store updates have gone. Anyone?
  • Face ID is definitely faster in all apps.
  • Lots of changes - new icons, toggles, and interface designs.
  • Dark mode!
  • In limited initial testing, apps which seem to work are Apollo, Philips Hue, Facebook, Pillow. I did say "limited".
  • New Music app interface is actually really nice. Also, it'll ask about Library Sync constantly.

I’d argue with time machine, macOS is the easiest to revert, while iOS is still the same. Unless, camellia (beta) breaks time machine backup.
Not with 543GB of a 2TB Fusion Drive available!
