First in line at AT&T Corp store but should I try Apple instead? 32gb White 4S

I can't believe people are outside your ATT store, I am up north more and there are so many ATT, Sprint, Verizon, Best Buy etc.. I don't think lines will be a big problem?

I also think stores are going to be getting WAY more stock than for the iPhone 4, maybe thats why it took till now to release them, so they had an extra few months to make millions more? So we don't have another iPad problem.

Simple business classes will tell you a company makes more cash over-stocking than having to occur back-order, I think Apple likes cash.

Really? You're sure it's a corporate store and not just an authorized reseller? Every corporate store I've visited in my area has had iPhones for sale.

Yeah, I'm positive. My local corporate store isn't even like a "real" AT&T store. There are no demo units (just 10-15 fake plastic ones bolstered to the walls) with a few tables to sit down. They sell phones, but it's not a "real" AT&T store so to speak. It feels like you've just walked into H&R Block

If you really just want the white 32, I'd probably just go to an Apple store.
If you're the only one in line right now, I'd probably run over to the closest Apple store and see what the situation is there. If there isn't a line, or a short line stay there. You know you'd get what you want there. If its bad, head back over to where you were.

Yup, as I said earlier in the thread it's impossible to line up early at the Apple store here. Mall security (outside mall) won't let you on the property earlier than they want you there and the Apple store is in the middle, so usually a mad dash to get to the doors when they let you in.

If your in Cbus I would suggest going to the AT&T stores in Grandview, Dublin, Downtown, etc.... Easton and Polaris I feel like will be swamped...grandview and dublin would be your best bets! Im a few hours north and I recently drove by (1:30AM) a best buy, AT&T, verizon, sprint...and all dead....

also AT&T would almost have to have less people than apple cause ALL three carriers can go to apple, while only AT&T people can go to AT&T! good luck!

Stay put all att stores have plenty of stock this year. Pre orders took a back seat to in store stock. Wait it out you'll have fun. My source? I'm a manager at att. You'll thank me once you have your phone 8am tomorrow morning.

32gb white preferred 64gb white would be the only other I would consider, it appears on the "4S display" that the phones underneath are both white and black, of course when they open they could just say "black only but I can order a white one for you" or "white is limited to 16gb but I have a 32gb black for you".

Either way I know that no one can give me a solid 100% answer but it helps reading responses and opinions of people who might know more than me or have been in this situation in the past.

I'm just down 71 myself in Cincinnati. Is anyone else in line with you yet?
