Justin - keep cool, just two questions though.... where are you getting refills for your ice bucket and does that bucket really have a week's worth of food in it?

As I said before, ignore the negative comments, they're just naive and insensitive people passing judgment completely unnecessarily on something they have nothing to do with.

I would like to make one comment to all the negative commenters out there - please remember that unlike 99% of thread starters, Justin's story was brought in by someone else and Justin didn't start it himself looking for publicity or opinion. He was just doing his thing, minding his own business and really, who are you to blame him when he has not asked for your opinion at all. If you really do believe some of the things you say on these threads, you should go to him in person and say it to him because he is there in the public view, in Texas, waiting for you...

But really, don't post negative comments anonymously from the safety of your computer that you wouldn't tell him to his face, if you have negative thoughts or comments, please be an adult and keep them to yourself.

KK is popular in most areas of the US except for New England where Dunkin Donuts is more popular. Dunkin Donuts taste much much better IMHO. However, I haven't had a donut in years.

While I agree with you, those are definitely fighting words...

I am watching Star Trek, and laughed when I thought about Geckotek making "first contact". Ha!

Yes, I am a nerd. :D

a genuine first adapter? not so much.

seriously, if he is such a serious Apple customer, or even a genuine first adapter, he would have persevered on release day and pre-ordered his phone.
It took me 8 hours to get through, but I was able to get mine purchased... and delivered to my home June 24th. Booo yahhh!

Isn't camping outside a store for 7 days (in a tent) considered loitering?

Day 2 Begins

Good morning everyone!

The time and date is 9:00AM CT on June 18. (Day 2) and I'm back as promised to give everyone a update.

As of this morning it is still just me in line, but I did speak with someone else last night who came by that will be bringing another tent and setup starting tonight. Will let you know if she decides to return and will post a pic.

I got about 3 hours of sleep last night so I'm a bit tired and might need to take a nap later if I get a chance to escape the press today.

In the meantime, I'm going to take some time this morning to answer some questions as much as I can.

Hi, Justin! I'm glad you are enjoying yourself, although I'm sorry you didn't sleep very well.

Take care!

Justin,

I wish you the best! The great memories from this experience (and the media coverage) will last a lifetime. I'm happy for you in doing what you want to do and having fun at the same time. Kudos! :)

Good morning. The Apple staff gives me a new bag of ice everyday and yes there is plenty of drinks and food. If thats not enough, there is a gas station half a block away.

He did reserve, he posted down the thread, but that may take a while to find :)

As long as the Apple Store doesn't mind (which they don't) I am sure the city is happy to have a little fun press. Maybe it is just a southern thing, but if there is no harm... meh, why not let everybody have some fun.

Hey Justin, do you get lots of people stoping by at night?

I've noticed how nice the Apple Store staff have been and I've been wondering if someone tried to camp out at an AT&T store for a week, I feel like the staff wouldn't be that nice.

Maybe that's just a generalization of how AT&T sells its image?

To Justin - Are those D&G glasses?

I'd be on the lookout for this guy:

They're sugary, fatty, goodness. Think of a donut that melts in your mouth (if it is fresh). Though honestly, if you do get a chance to go to a KK sometime in your life, avoid all but their base donut (the one they are famouse for). It's wierd. They're standard donut is totally awesome, but all their other donuts are nasty.

Damnit, now I want one.

wow, they sound good :D, thanks for the explanation, I shall remember that if I ever do have the chance to try one :)

we don't have any big good brand of doughnuts over here (that I have had) :(, they are doughnuts rather then donuts in england :p, anything were have tends to be just generic

Justin this is great! I'd never have the balls to stay out in a tent for a week in surburbia (though I have a few times in a forest!). So hopefully no one messes with you -- I hope some of the MR people on here will back you up there!

You should inquire about a job there! You'd probably be a great blue/orange shirter.

good for him

I truly believe in live and let live as long as no one is getting hurt. This guy sounds like he is having a ball, good for him.

I personally waited in line for 12 hours for the first phone, all of my friends thought I was crazy. And yes, some of my friends showed up that night and got phones with no wait toward end of the store closing. But so what? I made friends on line, was in the media and interviewed, got tons of free samples and things from manufactureres wanting to get in on the action and just had a grand old fun day (the horror started once I got the phone and couldn't activate for 1 week (true story).

Trust me, our friend will soon have company, and I hope they all have fun!!

Justin. What phone and accessories are you planning to get, and what new features are you most looking forward to?

All the best from the UK.

No their Prada. ;-)
