Wow, do some people work for living?

This dude is crazy, he is going to camp for 7-8 days and he is going to get his phone at 7:30am - 8:00am. Someone is going to show up at 11am and he may wait for only 10min and he is going to get the same phone with 10 minutes of wait.

Thursday morning the 24th of June...

"I'm sorry sir, your smell is so offensive we cannot let you into the store!"

Who Has A Week To Spend Camping Out For A Phone?

That's what I was wondering. They say he's done this before, wonder if I met him in line last year?

If he's a student...ok. If he took vacation time for this....WOW!

I am taking vacation next week, all next week off. However I am not going to be joining Mr. Smith here in line, I am headed off to Irving, TX for VMWare vSphere Fast Track class...plan to get certified as a VCP in the next few weeks...that my friends is taking time off and being productive. No regrets on my decision.

We should wait until they interview the guy. I just see this on the site - "A reader sends this photo" and "Photo: first iPhone 4 camper shows up at Dallas Apple store on Knox St."

Who knows, maybe he just felt like camping there.

Let's see how quickly he dies from heat exhaustion and gets in the paper for that. It's damn hot here (in Dallas) - I couldn't imagine spending even one full day out there. I'm not even looking forward to lining up out there at 2AM.

That would be nice, getting a free iPhone my camping out for a week. It's worth it.

maybe that is what he is banking on? He is totally broke, living at home with mom/dad and is dying for the new iphone and thinks "maybe if I am insane enough and wait for a week, they will just give it to me?"

Dallasites have had worse ideas....

I will never, ever wait in line for a piece of technology that will be out of date in a little less than two years. Sorry.
