I can see my shipping info on UPS saying it will be delivered Friday but I still haven't received my shipping notice from Apple and my order status still shows "Preparing for Shipment." My phone shipped from Nashville and is currently in Louisville, KY.
Whether you're Republican or Democratic, why start by insulting people? Plenty of those in line still have real jobs and take time off from work to do these things. You don't know people's situations in life; why are you starting with the cruelest guess? Are you this judgmental of your friends and families?

1) navigate to ups.com
2) go to tracking --> track by reference
3 enter your 10 digit phone number for the shipment reference, enter your zip code for destination and your country and the dates obviously (9/21-___)

i don't think there will ever be a line like this for any droid phone. frankly because there are better things to do in life rather than waiting such long hours on line for ANY phone.
Correct. I am receiving free product under the circumstance of meeting the criteria of a specific promotion. As far as I know, when one happens to acquire a freebie, as a result of entering a contest or promotion, they don't often consider it "getting paid."
Sure, I am technically being compensated, but not at the level of being able to sustain a lifestyle by sitting in line, and I was responding to Arn's communication with a member who thinks it's interesting that we have the luxury of sitting around in a line for a little over a week.
For the record, there are 3 homeless people in line, and I do have a day job.
It's been said already but waiting in line for a week? I have to work. I even have over 3 weeks of vacation time and wouldn't use it sitting around waiting for a phone that will be available, maybe not right away but it's not like they made this one run and calling it quits and you're going to have some collector items.
I tried this yesterday, but didn't work. DUH - I needed to use my credit card billing phone number and not my iPhone number (which is what I thought the instructions said to do).
Anyway: Shipped two days ago, made it to Kentucky this morning. Woohoo!

Thanks for bringing this up! I've been using the phone number I provided Apple with when I ordered (my current cell phone number) and it wasn't working. Just used my home phone number and that worked immediately on the UPS site. Mine is currently in Addison, IL as of Sunday, with a delivery date of Friday via UPS Next Day Air Saver.
Forgot to mention that the weight of the package is (oddly) 2 lbs., which is far more than I've heard/seen other people quoting.

I preordered mines on the 14. My order says prepping for shipment since Sunday. It also says delivers 9/21. I've tried plugging my number into UPS but that didn't work
Mine still says the preparing shipment status too and I have the same delivery date...
my shipping info just went active. coming FedEx, thank god. it's only 5 hours away where I'm sure it will sit till Thursday nite
How is this possible? The UPS system won't let me enter in a date beyond today, and how do you know it is shipping via UPS rather than Fed-Ex?

Just got off the phone, because I haven't received an email and I pre ordered at 4:48 am on Friday, but I was told it wasn't shipping until Friday the 21st. Not that I would receive it on the 21st. I can't believe they are not shipping until Friday and it could take a few days to come in. Last time I ever pre-order from AT&T. It told me when I ordered, that I would receive it on the 21st, otherwise I would of ordered from Apple.
Sorry guys, just had to blow off steam and report how much BS you have to put up with from AT&T.
