They should, and they need to. Not to start the whole "Steve would have never allowed this" but it's seriously hurting them. However small updates are going to be, I miss the days when Apple events/keynotes were full of mystery and excitement. Nobody knew what was going to happen until the day Steve pulled out a shiny object from his pocket. Now they're painfully boring and basically just Apple confirming leaks. :(

...might as well change this website to Macleaks. There are no rumors anymore, just hardware parts leaking out of factories left and right. :p

the difference is in you. if you visit rumor sites, youre going to come across leaks, and youll spoil your surprise. thats your choice.

my dad doesnt visit macrumors, and it's all new to him.

iTunes Store

Anyone else notice that "iTunes Store" is missing from the home screen on both the boxes for the 5S and 5C? Seems like one of those apps that Apple wants to have front and center.

then go get yourself a galaxy. I pray apple doesn't do it

5in cell phones are so idiotic and pointless

Until you actually have a phone with a bigger screen and don't miss your iPhone at all....

There are a few seamless connectivity type things I miss being a mac user about the IOS experience to mac, but whenever I play on someone's iPhone (and stretching the damn thing is barely a screen increase....wth were they thinking with the 4" screen?) I feel like they only see part of the world each day.

Nothing wrong with personal preference, but if I hate anything about Apple it's they don't give #%#) about that.... they try to tell you what you should want and need.... and some people blindly listen and defend it...

edit; the screen isn't the only reason why I don't really miss my iPhone. The iPhone is really just now getting on par with competitors features. A few apps are MIA on android, but other than that.... Apple really needs to step up their game. These aren't the devices that are going to sway me back to an iPhone, that's for sure.

oh look an iPhone. In a box.

Exactly my thought. Like, okay, an iPhone we have seen dozens of times.....in a box.......okay...............

They just need two models as once I started using a 5.3" phone it is really quite handy yet slightly awkward at times. It's good or the middle ground of a tablet and phone without having to get both. Of course I think there needs to be just 3.5" and 4" phones as well, I still like the 4s design the most of any iPhone.

And that would be a nasty money-saving crap that Apple is pushing us.

I have to reload webpages constantly from multiple tabs and sometimes the content changes when that happens.

The iPhone has great memory management, but this is just a sad money-saving technique on Apple's part, if 1 GB is confirmed. For god's sake... They already save billions on storage.

That's greedy, to say the least.

True, but the 5s is a really powerful device the A7's benchmarks are outstanding. Regarding the memory issue i think 1GB is to be expected since the jump from 4 to 4s remained at 512MB

Apple should make a pallet unbox video which rules them all....

LOL Dude that's a hilarious idea.....

First ever 38 hour and 27 minute video on youtube featuring a pallet of iPhones.

Alas, but no man may truly be able to wield the power of the one video, the video of power. For even if man had the best intentions he would inadvertently do evil with such a video.

----------

I want to see the un-boxing of the mac pro..... will the box be round?

I heard is would be spherical ;)

The 8GB 4S will cost more than that in Europe. For the Americans grieving for the lack of a micro usb adapter you might be pleased to learn that the price of the iPhones went up in Europe by more than the cost of the adapter, whilst poundshops up and down the UK can supply you with a fully functioning lightning cable for a fifteenth of the price Apple charges.

Apple: Unapologetically, unashamedly penny pinching its way to greater profits.

I think you're basically saying the same thing I said, but from a different take. What I meant to say was that back then the iPhone used to cost $399, so the phone came with things like a dock and a microfiber cloth. You do realize that $399 was the price people used to pay for the phone subsidized. When they lowered the price of the phone, they took away those little extra things, to cut costs, presumably.

cant say i agree. i've used these big screen phones & i just dont get it. phones should be used as phones and not tablets or computers. screen size on the 5 & even the 4 is fine to me
