Nice picture musika, brings back memories...

I miss the original iPhone for the simple fact that it came with a free dock, alongside the headphones and charging cables/adapters.

C'mon, what'ya want for $600 and the most profitable consumer electronics company in the world?

Joking aside, I miss the free dock as well.

Wow did the dude struggle to take that screen cover off...

I was laughing at that too - not easy to do one handed I guess.

But paper squashes very easily. Plastic does not.

What do you do with the packaging? I open mine, take iPhone, headphones and cables out. Put the receipt in and store it on my shelf so it stays in top shape for a later resale… How would it ever be damaged?

That's due to EU regulations to standardize phones to charge via MicroUSB. Apple's solution was to ship an adaptor with the phone. I wouldn't expect to see that in non-EU markets.

They are for sale at the apple store for $19. But you are right. They probably won't be available in the US market.

Wait a sec; even the Chinese get a lightning to microusb adapter.
I hope this is for all iPhones including USA.

Why in the world would ANYONE buy the 5C??

Cheap body, outdated specs, and they even made the box crappy. All to save $100?

What a joke.

Yes that is actually funny, because if you take into consideration that the 32gb iPhone 5C costs the same as base 5S. Apparently 16 gb of nand storage more is equally worth than a 64bit chip twice as fast chip, new camera system with dual flash, premium aluminum enclosure and a finger print scanner. Quite bizzare.

they certainly did a good job at keeping nothing off the rumors site this time around.

They actually did do a pretty good job. The only BIG physical difference was the home button. And even though everyone pretty much knew a FP sensor was coming, there wasn't a single leak of what the new button/sensor looked like until a day before the event. To me, that seems pretty good...And totally intentional.

Wake me up when 5" iPhone will be announced.

Wake me up when someone connects this to the "iOS 7 Controller" API and builds a case for it:

I have the feeling its 1GB.

And that would be a nasty money-saving crap that Apple is pushing us.

I have to reload webpages constantly from multiple tabs and sometimes the content changes when that happens.

The iPhone has great memory management, but this is just a sad money-saving technique on Apple's part, if 1 GB is confirmed. For god's sake... They already save billions on storage.

That's greedy, to say the least.

I was delighted to see that the iPhone 5 (and now 5s (maybe 5c?)) comes with the EarPods with a case and all. It bring backs some of that feeling of getting a little something extra with your device.

Agreed. Especially because the 64Bit RAM utilization is different than 32Bit, so even with stellar optimiazation it would see a benefit from more RAM (the same reason 64Bit desktops run better with 8GB/16GB of accessible RAM).

It's not AS bad of course, but it's a lot like having a flat tire. Sure, you CAN drive around on that donut if you can't afford (or are too greedy) to get 4 full size tires, but you will have to correct for it (programming in this case), and you won't be getting maximum performance.

It's admirable the way they optimize, and maybe it's for battery life... but I think 1GB of RAM when they openly tout how great a 64Bit proc is will be one of the FIRST things Samsung goes after when they launch their 64Bit proc that has 4GB of RAM (or more, knowing them, as they are spec whores). I'm sure the 5S will be stupid fast, but it's hamstrung for cost/greed.

1. The 5c box is not crap, just different.
2. The 5c is a very capable phone. And for anyone coming off something less then a 5 (and yes this included all non Apple phones too), the 5c would be a major upgrade.
3. Nice coloured plastic. The 5c does not look that bad to be honest.

The one downside though is only $100 difference to the 5s. That's really the only reason, but it's probably the major reason.

It's a heavy stock box, not rolled paper from a printer. Have you ever seen/held an iphone box in person????

No. But if it's anything like my iPad 4th gen box it'll be very high quality hard paper, but still not plastic.

I feel the same (assuming you're not being sarcastic).
I love Mother Earth.
Everybody uses a case, making docks WORTHLESS.
I applaud Apple (as you do) for going with minimalistic packaging & reducing our environmental footprint!
Keep up the good work Apple!!
& thank you for pointing out the achievements we've made by not including bs that less than 1% of users would find helpful at all....
Now, if only we could get them to stop putting in those Apple stickers that everybody already has 100 of...

Not at all being sarcastic. I am confused though as to why you would feel that having a Dock and pouch that we used to have is considered useless and how do you arrive at 1% of users finding this stuff helpful?
