so now they have those poor chinese people carrying each package in person on an airbus to the US? those poor people :p

What?!? With them being domestically located now,I guess that means no flight tracker this year? Lol! That's always entertaining every year. :)

Let's hope this means pre-orders will arrive ON the release date this year!!

Any clue of when it will be available for Mexico? Telcel has officially stated they will launch it the very same day as in the USA. But I always buy it unlocked from the Apple Online Store.

What would have been nice would be some iPhone 6 and especially 6+ models on display in Apple Stores today ahead of the preorder to give us the chance to really see the size differences.

Security risk. There's already enough smash and grab jobs already. If the new stuff was on display every store would be getting hit. Or at least all the ones with street entrances.

One handed use is now impossible with 4.7 and 5.5 versions of the iPhone.

Because Apple iOS puts the main buttons like "back" and "close" always at the top of the screen, often on the left side - which is unreachable with the thumb.
The new iOS 8 feature where the screen content lowers (if you double tab the home button) is even more cumbersome.

Android has a huge plus in that regard because the back button is at the bottom of the screen - always reachable.

Apple has to change that in future iOS versions.

Except that, if you watched the keynote, Apple expanded the swipe gestures for moving back and forward into all the first party apps.

So you don't have to reach the top....just swipe from the edge of the display wherever your thumb can reach.

The idea that one-handed use is impossible is ludicrous. I use a Nexus 5 one-handed rather comfortably. The 6 should be a tad easier given its skinnier and thinner.

As for the 6+, I'm not buying a phablet if one-handed use is my main concern. People need to relax and be realistic. Honestly, the 5S is still a beast and a great buy at $99/$549.

Your logic is unsound. A few display models won't get stolen this week versus when it is on sale. A store is more likely to get broken into if they can get to the stock room and grab boxes of phones, which would not be there until next week.

Nice t r y.

hate to break it to you but apple is not the first to make phones in these sizes, I can reach every corner of the screen of my 4.7" Samsung and I have medium size hands

Ummm, my forward and back buttons in Safari is at the bottom of the screen on my iPhone 5.

And how do you know a feature is even more cumbersome? Have you already used it?

That does not work for "close" - apps like twitter use an X in the left corner.

My thumb CAN NOT reach the edge of the phone on the 4.7 iPhone - without almost dropping it on the floor.
