I think I read somewhere that they put your current loan on hold for two weeks before closing it.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate the feedback. I had 14 payments on my current loan, last one on 10/24. Apple told me last week I would get a prorated refund for the phone (the refund being the 13th or 14th payment).

Yes, but luckily for me I caught it before doing the pre-order. I had a replacement iPhone 7 Plus on October 11th & Apple did not get the replacement phone IMEI into the Citizen One database. Their engineering team finally got it done but it took nearly a full day to happen.

Apple is responsible for entering the IMEI number into the Citizen's One database. Trust me I spent 4 hours on the phone on Monday checking into this.

I replied below - Apple is responsible for getting the right IMEI number if you are on the IUP.

Sorry I read your post too quickly - but AT&T Next program probably works in a similar manner. Apple has to make sure your IMEI number is correct. If you can get a senior advisor to contact the engineering team, they will fix it for you.
Thx for the info!

Those of you seeing early delivery estimates (before Nov 3), do not get your hopes up. Once it gets to your local hub, that date will change to Nov 3. Apple does not tolerate early deliveries.

Don't rain on my parade, lol. Actually in my experience, you are correct. It would be nice, however, to get shipment early instead of waiting. Patience is not one of my virtues.

They never deliver before the release date. It'll most likely be held until Nov. 3rd. Also, I don't think USPS is used for iPhone orders.

Well, I've tracked it on USPS. Ordered from Verizon, so they must have their own way of doing things.

Update Oct. 29 AM: USPS says delivery by end of day Oct 31.

Update Oct 30: First Verizon said delivery today, out for delivery, the I got a notice that delivery is held up until Nov 3 at request of shipper.
So you were right!

My iPhone X 256GB Space Grey is now preparing for shipment as of 3 hours ago, bound for Australia. No idea how to track as they don’t use UPS for Australian deliveries. Will have to wait a bit longer for a tracking ID.

Apple has however texted me the tracking details of my Silicone case, which is expected to arrive 30 October. The status of this one is ‘Shipped’.

It’s getting real!

Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia
Date/Time ordered: 6:02PM AEDT (12:02AM PDT)
Delivers: 3 November 2017

I don’t suppose mine will show up Monday before I leave for Australia for 3 weeks! . Good thing my roommate doesn’t like apple so she won’t take it. Ha ha

I was ready at 2.55 am to preorder my iPhone X from the Apple US store. Unfortunately I learnt it was only for the chosen ones. - ATT, VERIZON, Sprint, T-Mobile. How about prepaid companies like Cricket for example? Why can't I preorder paying the full price? And.... They ship them UNLOCKED with SIM card inserted.
Funny funny funny....
My friends in Europe ordered without any problems.
Welcome to America. All is a business.

I can confirm that both my T-mobile & At&t handsets have a tracking number. I was about to get them by signing up for UPS mychoice than select "home deliveries " voila you have a tracking number with options to change shipping address or updates.

Shipping shows Nov. 3rd for both

You could just get one while you’re down here :p . They’re legally required to be unlocked from any carrier and you technically could be up to 17 hours ahead of your friends home if you get it when a local Apple Store opens here!

I was up at 3am (Eastern), and at exactly that time, I lost internet access! I got it back a few minutes later, but wasn't able to order mine from Sprint until 4:30am (Eastern).

I just got an email from Sprint with the tracking number, it's coming on the 3rd!

Did you order from the sprint website or Apple? I tried ordering from Apple, but for whatever reason when they tried to verify my number, Apple said that the account that I had wasn't compatible with an iPhone. I then spent 2.5 hours trying to order on the Sprint site (I was going to give up at 30 minutes, but then principle took over and I was like, this has to work!!!). Overly annoyed, but I did finally get an order placed at 5:30am EST.

Edit- Ignore the question of where you purchased it. I just realized you said you got a tracking number from Sprint.... so it had to be ordered from the Sprint website. :)

I selected store pickup... wonder if I'll get a ship notice or it'll just be "ready for pickup."

I've never been able to track a store pickup, I just wait for the ready for pickup notice. Could be just me not knowing what to enter into UPS tracking (store zip, order number, phone number, etc.) or they're not trackable or it's FedEx (never tried to track via FedEx).
