I wish Apple had surprised everyone and included AirPods with the X.

No company in the world would do such surprise. I mean, including Airpods would have not been 100% impossible, but including them and not telling the world about it, to boost the sales even more..... now that would have been impossible and to be honest it would have made no sense from a business point of view. Companies would use any trick in the book to advertise their products.

But you have to factor cost related factors in doing so if they were to include them with the iPhone X. The Airpods finally had regular stock back in early August for the first time since their inception of December 2016. And after production of the iPhone X had already commenced in July, which likely would not have had enough units to include them in the box even if they wanted to during that time frame.

Hey does anyone know how strict they are on pickup windows? My store opens at 8:00am. My pickups are 9:30. But I'm trying to leave town ASAP Friday morning, so hoping to head to the store before 8:00 and see if they will let me snag it early.

Although the iPhone X has yet to launch anywhere in the world, Benjamin Geskin over the weekend began tweeting images and videos of the smartphone being unboxed for the first time, as well as a few pictures of the device preparing for shipment. Images of the iPhone X's retail packaging appeared on Apple's website following its announcement in September, but we haven't yet been able to catch a glimpse of the inside of the box.

In the first few Tweets, Geskin shared images of the iPhone X stacked and ready to ship, and you can catch more glimpses of the side of the packaging in a separate video. Unlike the iPhone 8's rear-focus cover art, the iPhone X packaging depicts the smartphone's large OLED display.

Geskin then Tweeted a link to Instagram user abraham950, who posted a brief unboxing video of the iPhone X. The video shows that the first thing you see when you open the box is Apple's "Designed by Apple in California" information packet, and below that sits the iPhone X itself.

In another Tweet, images were shared from an Instagram post that has now been deleted, showcasing a Silver iPhone X from Europe in the process of being unboxed.

One mobile retailer in Dubai has also received the iPhone X, with a user posting an Instagram video of the package as well as a quick shot of the setup screen and back of the device. In a video shared by the Instagram account @theapplehub, a user in Milan, Italy provided a glimpse at the setup process (which is impossible to complete right now because the device can't be activated yet), and zoomed in on the vertical dual-lens camera of the iPhone X.

As we near launch day on Friday, November 3, even more in-depth unboxing videos of the iPhone X will appear online as users in New Zealand and Australia begin receiving their devices. The first wave of iPhone X reviews also began arriving online today, including original iPhone reviewer Steven Levy's impressions of the device.

[doublepost=1509397109][/doublepost]Anybody notice there is writing underneath the word iPhone on the back of the silver iPhone. That's not accurate.

I decided to keep my current phone. I don't have faith in the FaceID thing right now - certainly not to drop £1000.

Maybe next year.

I can't believe how many people love watching unboxing videos. It's 2nd only to watching pain dry.

you might be joking but I love to watch unboxing video on products I'm buying so I know what is included in the box or not. Sometime people use retarded cardboard folding method that looks nice but hard to remove or looks like **** but is easy to remove with a simple trick and you get to see it in unboxing videos.

unboxing videos used to be done by a neutral consumer instead of a sponsored one that monetize **** so you get an unbiased opinion on the product to see if it fits your needs. Sometimes the promotional video were done with CGI so the colour or the shape was different from the actual product and its good to see it in the video.

then there are unboxing video that is recorded in retarded studio lighting that makes you doubt the colour of the product or how it looks like in normal daily life. i still cant find a video where they place an iphone 8 and 8 plus on top of each other to see what the size difference is and had to go down to the store to do it myself.

not to mention the drop test that some people will be doing would be nice to see as well cause i sure as hell aint gonna drop my phone on purpose and then claim the accidental damage on it. idk, to each their own, just because you dont see the need of a certain type of video doesnt mean others dont either. that is a very primitive way of thinking haha

Curious as to what the default lock-screen wallpaper will be. Will it be that pink/red/blue/white color blob that’s in all the ads?

I'm torn about the colors. While on one hand it's cool that black iPhones are just a black block when turned off, on the other hand that also makes them a bit boring. Many nuances of the design get lost visually.
But since I don't like silver (I would have liked white instead), this is going to be my first black iPhone.
I had hoped they'd release a red one like the 7, but no luck. The lack of color choices is a bit disappointing.

They’re already selling more iPhones X than they can produce. They’re also having a hard time keeping up with AirPods production. Why make that even worse for no gain?

Sure. If you don’t mind paying an extra $160.

Might as well ask for beats headphones while you are at it.

Buncha Debbie Downers! o_O :D It was a comment on a wish, not a realistic request.
