Couldn't disagree more. Not counting pre-2018 models: highest starting price ever ($750), highest top-end price ever ($1450), largest phones ever with no smaller option, and (of course) every one has that appalling notch (yes, it still sucks and always will, no matter how models they make with it).

The longest I've ever kept an iPhone is 2 years (the original and the 5, my two favorite iPhones ever), but I'll be breaking that record easily with my 7 if this is what we can expect from now on.
Can’t make everyone happy. But the reviews of the phones, and of the Xr in particular as best iPhone value in years may leave you in the minority. And I bet sells will also show that as well. Enjoy your 7.

For Scooz who still has the XR maybe try this trick?

I'm not sure my phone was causing me the same eye strain issue but been trying this setting for the past week. I'm prone to headaches anyway so couldn't be sure if it was phone related or not when I get them. Guess I'll see if they improve in the next couple weeks though.

Cheers!

Wow. Coolest link to a blog post in a long time. Thank you very much.

I already was using the white point option via the triple press as an additional dimming for night use (also have the loupe there :) but wasn‘t aware of that adjustment slider. Now that‘s much more useful.

Also, really great systematic analysis of the technology at hand with a real solution as the result. Love it. I‘ll try that for a while now.

Thanks again!
Cheers
