The iPhone XR will be available for pre-order at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on October 19, and ahead of when pre-orders go live, the first iPhone XR reviews have been published on YouTube.

Apple appears to have provided several YouTubers and media sites with iPhone XR review units, with a list of some of the available review videos embedded below.

Apple's iPhone XR is the third iPhone in Apple's 2018 iPhone lineup. It's the least expensive of the three new devices, priced starting at $749 vs. $999 and $1,099 for the iPhone XS and XS Max.

Compared to the iPhone XS, the iPhone XR features an LCD display instead of an OLED display, Haptic Touch instead of 3D Touch, and an aluminum frame instead of a stainless steel frame. It's got a lower water resistance rating at IP67, and it has slower LTE Advanced instead of Gigabit LTE.

Most notably, the iPhone XR uses a single-lens camera system instead of a dual-lens camera system, but the two devices feature many of the same capabilities such as Depth Control and Smart HDR, enabled through software.

Aside from these differences, the iPhone XR and iPhone XS have the same components including the super fast A12 chip, TrueDepth camera system for Face ID, and glass body for wireless charging capabilities.

The iPhone XR will officially launch on Friday, October 26, one week after pre-orders take place.

Watched a few of the videos. I’m even more excited now about the XR. Can’t wait to preorder tonight.

And yes, this will be flying off the shelves.

I love how generic YouTube has become when all bloggers have the same background/style of video.

One of the reviewers said “we were invited to come down and check out these new phones”.

    Possibly Apple setup the space.

Seriously, we need the XR mini next year. Many people out there don't want to carry a flat-screen television in a front pocket.

Have to admit Apple know how to make phones look great. I was sceptical of this phone but man it really is good. This will sell like hotcakes.

That CNET "review" felt more like a marketing video. As someone interested in this phone, I was excited to see some early reviews, but that's not what these are unfortunately.

In case anyone is wondering (and want to save a little time), none of these are real reviews. They are all previews (obvious but the headline...).

The Xr looks great and as others said, will sell really well.

It's really a pity they kill the camera on this one. But I'm sure the bean counters will be happy that the photo sorts will buy the more expensive iPhone.

The smart man's XS. Only a fool would pay 1000+ for a phone.

Nice looking piece of kit. But I still see a phone hanging from a notch.

Welcome to the 2018. You can leave the creativity at the door, you don't need it here.

Color me impressed. (I know, groan on the pun), but they are nice, and its refreshing to see so many options. A big savings for the same processor and many common features.

    That’s not accurate at all.

It is an option Apple is providing for less money for people who may not want to spend as much money, or not need features in the Xr. You can’t establish someone’s net worth by what phone they carry.
