Felt what way?

When ipad air 2 came out, I upgraded from the 3 ("THE NEW IPAD"). I of course loved it and still do. I just felt like I will never use it to its potential. All I really do on it is web surf and games. And most of my games are not graphic intensive.

I think the 6S will be similar. It will be nice to have such a fast processor and 2 RAM and everything, but is it really something I totally needed? Probably not, at least not yet.

I purchased the 6s+ simply because i wanted the bigger screen/battery life and regretted not getting the 6+ last year. Add in the better camera, processor, 3d Touch, always on Siri and other features and it seemed like a no brainer to me. Especially when i sell my old iPhone 6 and it washes out the cost of the subsidized cost of the 6S+.
Thanks for writing my post for me lol

Interesting that you say that. I'm still using the 4S -- almost four years now. I love what I read and see about the 6s, but it doesn't do much more than my 4S *for what I do*. I'm not a power user, and I'm not on my phone that much during the day. I would like a larger screen than the 3.5" 4S, the 6s will do everything faster and better, and the camera would be a very significant upgrade. Is it worth spending $800 to get it (64GB plus sales tax)? I may yet do it, but I'm having trouble justifying in.

Thanks for posting the review. I am ready to upgrade from an HTC One, and I think I will get the iPhone 6. It's a leap forward after Android and Staples has the 64GB for $149.99, half the price of the 6s.

wait...WHAT?

Edit:

Checked Staples - it's with a 2 year Verizon activation ... :(

I don't know what we were expecting from these reviews. "It's the 6/6 Plus but better" is what we knew, and that's what they're saying. I disagree with Nilay that 3D Touch won't be useful until the 7. It doesn't have to have 100% app support to be immensely useful. I don't use 100% of the apps in the App Store and for the ones that I do use, 3D Touch won't be necessary for all of them. Once the big companies add 3D Touch support, we'll all wonder how we lived without it.

Agreed, popular apps like Facebook, instagram, twitter, amex (they always are early to adopt new things), etc will support it fast.

It would be awesome for fantasy football and scores from your favorite team in ESPN.

I think he just means that it'll take one generation for 3D Touch to reach maturity. Even if the big apps update with 3D Touch, it doesn't mean they'll implement it well. It may take a while before there's a lot of useful 3D Touch implementation from 3rd party (and even Apple with some of its other apps).

That doesn't mean it's not a feature to get excited about, nor does it make the 6s a lukewarm upgrade. I'm very excited for 3D Touch, but I'm getting my expectations tempered as well.

I don't see why it would take a full year for companies to think up useful ways to integrate 3D Touch. It's basically a right click.

I still believe the 4 was the best design. :)

As Steve said , reminds me of a fine Leica

I would have to agree. Although I think the 6/6S/Plus are phenomenal, design-wise I really loved the 4 and 5. It's those antenna lines that drive me crazy. But they're covered up most of the time anyway. I wonder if the 7 will no longer have home button and use 3D touch instead to mimic this somehow?

Oh no, discussion is going on.
And... I am a man and maybe will buy the Rose-gold one.
In these videos it's more a washed out metallic rose and not a girly pink.

Another german review is complaining about poor battery-life, but it's a magazine that doesn't like IPhones in general.

I understand that it's the same rose gold in the Apple Watch. Saw it and . . . . Yep, it's definitely a girly pink ; )

But even last year it took several months for many apps to update for the new 6 Plus resolution. Even the Gmail app took longer than it should have. If it takes 6 months to get to 'critical mass' availability of 3D touch across most apps that's half way to the iPhone 7. For 6/6+ owners it probably makes sense to wait for the 7 if that's the case. Really, it's pretty much always the case the 'S' upgrades don't make sense if you aren't elegibile for a full subsidy from your carrier (or unless you have a 2+ year old phone.)

Yeah, but I think there's a difference between adjusting for resolution as that can require many more assets and possibly engine changes... and utilizing the API for a touch based mechanism.

While, yes, it will probably take a while... I think it'll be a much easier adoption for developers.

I've read all the reviews that have been posted so far and the biggest takeaway for me is: I want my phone here NOW.

And I was doing so well at being patient up until today, too.

Have any of the reviews made an issue of the continuing 326 PPI of the 6s?

It seems to be quite the issue with some forum members, but I didn't notice anything about screen resolution in the reviews thus far, though I could have missed something.

The only resolution issue I remember on the 6/6+ was how the 6+ tripled the resolution and then downscaled it to 1080p causing some stutters. Apple has never increased the PPI on S models so I don't think anybody was surprised it remainined the same on the 6S.

When I sold my 6 plus waiting for the 6S plus, using the 5s really brought a smile to my face. The 6 is a better phone all round, but geez the 4/5 feel great in hand and one handed use.

I'm sure the 7 will be great, though it may not beat the design of the 4/5.
