I started wearing a fitbit before the Apple Watch came out, and ever after I got the Apple Watch, I still wear my fitbit. It's one of the basic trackers that doesn't even have a screen so it's more like a bracelet than a watch. It's still a bit mystifying how each tracks steps/distance to me, as the Watch seems to count fewer steps but greater distance. Maybe when they start to sync up more closely I'll toss the Fitbit.
In the meantime, i would really LOVE some kind of Apple Watch band that you could just stick a small Fitbit tracker in so I don't need to wear two things. But I've got a very long streak going on my Fitbit and can't just get rid of it now...
Sounds like you just need to re-calibrate the :apple:Watch https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204516

Ever since Fitbit burned thousands of people’s wrists with defective bands a number of years ago, and denied wrongdoing, blamed the user, etc etc ... they deserve to go extinct.

Can I be controversial for a moment?
Besides fitness functions, the smart watch is totally useless. Then again, maybe that’s the way Apple had to position the Apple Watch in the beginning. Otherwise nobody was going to pay $400 for something that tracked your fitness.

I’m shocked that in an apple-centric website the fanboys who post comments would have nothing but negative comments to say about the competition. I would have expected them to be open minded.

Well, yes. But I do kind of wish they'd make a Fitbit-sized Apple Watch. With Fitbit-style battery life.
I guess when I said clunky I meant the software/technology. Size-wise they were very compact... The app wasn't the best and the metrics had subpar accuracy.

No thanks. I love my Apple Watch. Crazy to think we used to wear clunky FitBit devices...

My grandma just upgraded from her FitBit bra clip-on device... to an Apple Watch. Loves it.
Oh boy, let me tell you about early generation "mobile" phones... that fit in TRUNK of your car.

Honestly, if I didn't have an AW I would consider this one. AW prices are steep and can be a bit of a tough price to chew on.

That thing is super nice! Sorry Apple, but I think I'm going to give this a try. Apple watch is nice, but it never worked out for me. Wasn't very easy to use, and I found myself resorting to my iPhone for tasks instead of the watch. Of course, if I just used it for time then that would have been more than sufficient haha. But I was hoping for more of an ipHone replacement, and it didn't really do that for me.

Their business model surely rely on your data, you just can’t 100% tell how much it does, you must trust in what they claim, and i advice you to not trust any company.
I trust in their legal obligations, not their claims.

You don’t know what they collect, you don’t have insight to the data they transmit, and you don’t have insight to all the data they join in the background on their databases, simply to know what you like or dislike, and calculate the chances of selling a new gadget and apps to you.
What is shared with the OEM is always written into the privacy policy. Even the data hoarder companies haven't been seen to violate their own policies. Instead they will write vague/broad language so everything is covered. Apple's privacy policy is very clear about health data not being collected to improve the product.

The information you add about yourself in the Health app is yours to use and share. You decide what information is placed in the Health app as well as who can access your data. When your phone is locked with a passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID, all your health and fitness data in the Health app is encrypted. Any Health data backed up to iCloud is encrypted both in transit and on our servers. And if you use the latest versions of watchOS and iOS and turn on two-factor authentication, your health and activity data will be backed up in a way that Apple can’t read.

Isn't the Apple Watch far more powerful (ie. does more), hence why it consumes more battery life? I think this must be factored in.
Yes I agree and accept that but on the surface the Sense is pretty comparable but with 6 days of battery life. There is not a lot more that the Apple Watch can do that the Sense can't.
