I trust in their legal obligations, not their claims.

What is shared with the OEM is always written into the privacy policy. Even the data hoarder companies haven't been seen to violate their own policies. Instead they will write vague/broad language so everything is covered. Apple's privacy policy is very clear about health data not being collected to improve the product.
Heheh as if policies and obligations keeps companies from doing stuff with your data now or later. If this was the case, we would never had any data issues with any company. Apple is a blood sucker like any other company. Google also don’t share your data, they would be stupid if they would do that, same for Apple. What these companies do, is to use your data to put them in a better position against other companies, and create new products. It’s so easy to join data to find new stuff about you out.

Then when something happens, people will say BUT BUT BUT it was written into their policy :( Let us class action sue them, and each one get $50 \o/

Battery life sucks. I can wear a Fitbit for a week+ without having to charge.
Some people like to sleep with their watch so I can understand the issue. I don't and since I take the watch off every night, battery life hasn't really been an issue (except for couple times when traveling) for me since I put in on the charging stand every night anyway.

Do you have proof that Apple is doing what you are saying? Otherwise it's just baseless conjecture.

A class action lawsuit which awards each user $50 by the way, would be around $5 billion dollars given iOS user base. Not pocket change even for Apple.

Why do grandmas even need to wear bras?

For back support due to bone degeneration mostly. The body’s center of gravity needs to be more balanced. A mediocre analogy would be when you carry a heavy bag you try to bring it up as high as possible against your chest typically. You wouldn’t typically be walking with it at your waist level if you want to not strain your back.

Good try but Apple watch is too GOOD.
As someone who has 3 Macs, 2 iPhones, and more iPads than I can count, I'm trying desperately to agree, having switched from an old FitBit Versa to an Apple Watch 6 a few months ago. But the FitBit is better, in my opinion, in ALMOST every respect.

The Fitbit Versa has:

Better sleep tracking
Better exercise tracking
A 5-6 day battery
A single integrated app that displays all data in one place (it's really hard to get used to having 3 separate apps to operate the Apple Watch)
24/7 heart rate monitoring

The advantages of the AW are:

Phone/IM usage from watch (nice, but I've used each maybe twice in 2 months)
Unlocking computer/phone with watch
A somewhat better App selection (there are two apps that I find myself using fairly regularly that I can't get on the FitBit, but neither are deal breakers)
Slightly slicker interface
People seeing me with an Apple Watch (this last one is a joke)

That's about it. Granted, the AW has EKG monitoring, which is cool, but so does the Fitbit Sense.

I find myself switching back sometimes, especially when I'm out of town and don't want to have to worry about charging every night. And every time, I grudgingly switch back to the Apple Watch since it was not cheap.
