Satellite for the Wrist - The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is rumored to include satellite connectivity, allowing wearers to get help in an emergency using a satellite connection in remote areas where Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity are unavailable.
I suppose that is good for a lot of folks, just not for me. If there isn't/aren't new health sensor(s) - no upgrade for me.

That is the 1 rumor that will make me upgrade to the 17PM from my 13PM, 5/8x optical zoom, real optical, not crop zoom.
I used to do a lot of long distance ocean kayak trips and the Ultra with satellite would have been awesome along with the other features of the ultra. A lot that the ultra has won't be needed by most but then it's not targeted at most either.

I'm not upgrading anything this year, but when I do a better zoom with higher pixels will be very welcome.

What would you add to a new iPhone? Most of the new features and options are in the software. But even that is running short on new ideas.
Camera always seems to get better. My 15pro camera is 5 times better than my 11pro. Maybe the camera specs aren’t that much different but my photos sure are.

I'll watch it only to see which rumors were true and which not.
I don't see a (rumored) reason to upgrade any of the family iPhones (goes back to iPhone 12 Pro Max) this year.
But who knows, maybe I'll be surprised by something nobody saw coming.

The new camera cutout essentially makes about 1/4th of the back of the phone unprotected in traditional phone cases. The chip design is a 3nm iteration instead of a true generational leap to 2nm for more power savings and more complex chip design. This will be the third generation of iPhones designed using a version of the 3nm process. There need to be more bold color choices on the pro models. Bring back Product(RED). Make more durable phone cases. How many people have had their silicone phone cases chip over time? I like Apple’s ecosystem so much and have respect for the company. I think they need a rethink on where they are at versus where they might be heading.

I wouldn’t be so hung up on which process they’re using. The real magic is in the architecture. Apple could use the exact same process as last year and still come up with a more powerful/efficient processor.

Cook is no Jobs and never claimed to be. He's a numbers man. The innovation of the company is dead and Ive is gone. So billions spent on making it look and feel even cooler are done. Now it’s just slapping new colors on old stuff. But hey; if i aint broke...
Yeah, Apple has definitely made a good number of missteps in the last few years including starting a streaming service, Vision Pro, their car project, AI, etc. Tim’s leadership may be running out of steam. However, I still see a bright future for the company as long as Tim retires within the next five years.

If you want to see the iPhone Air, go see the latest ultra thin Samsung phone: Galaxy S25 Edge. That seems to be the specs of the Air in many respects.

While a wild card for sure, I also hope they introduce the A18Pro powered MacBook. But given previous events and Apple not fearing to release things by press release this is probably unlikely.
