sooo, the only thing new here is the heart rate airpods?
Yes because the announcements, where we actually hear what is new here, is happening on the 9th of next month
No, I mean an Apple Watch e, just like the iPhone 16e replaced the iPhone SE.
so yes then? An apple watch e would be ‘like’ an apple watch SE just ‘like’ an iphone 16e is ‘like’ an iphone SE

iPhone 15
iPhone 15 Plus
iPhone 16e
iPhone 16
iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 26
iPhone 26 Air
iPhone 26 Pro
iPhone 26 Ultra

The last thing this world needs right now is several million iPhones rolling off the manufacturing line.

Isn’t the current model sufficient?

The 16e is not like an SE. It’s significantly closer to the regular iPhone in features and price, and it is being updated yearly instead of only every 2-4 years. This is why it has a different name.

Yes thats ‘s why i very pointedly used the word ‘like’ and not the words ‘the same’

1: Timmy saying Good morning and welcome to WWDC
2: Timmy saying it is the best WWDC ever
3: Boring line up
4: Price increase
5: Craig making some cheesy and funny jokes

Oh how I miss the good old days of Mr. Jobs running these developer conferences, he could literally hold an iCrap and still make it more fun then the last decade of WWDCs.

Just my opinion, I don’t want to offend Timothy’s fan base.
He doesn‘t have a fanbase, only people who tolerate him.

Well, I don’t quite get what point you are trying to make in this conversation then. Yes, an Apple Watch e would be a successor of the Apple Watch SE like the 16e was the successor of the iPhone SE. Personally I see those as two distinct product categories.

I expect there to be mounds of disappointment here and around the internet as Apple fans are disappointed with the lack of innovation, despite knowing essentially what the new iPhone will be for months now.

Happens at every single Apple event. A tradition going way back to the Pleistocene era.

Do I see a hart in the Apple logo? Are we expecting hartrate measurement AirPods and bloodpressure measuring Applewatch somehow? Total overhaul health function on new iPhone?

Looking forward to the event either way. Google‘s event for the Pixel was an absolute disaster - even the fans complained in the comments on YouTube lol.
Yeah, Google and also Samsung really like to try to make theirs more theatrical while Apple doesn't really resort to that too much thankfully

With the world being back to how it's been before, part of me kind of wishes they would go back to live keynotes again, but sadly, it looks like Apple and others have just become so used to these pre-recorded ones that we'll probably never see them live again

Apple is still assessing if they should buy or not an AI company like Perplexity, this is and will be by far the biggest failure of Cook mandate, such a lack of understanding of where the business was going despite hundred of millions paid in market analysis, and lack of internal leadership to drive this topic with the right people...it says it all about current situation at Apple, look at Eddy Clue, the shadow of the man he used to be...

I wonder if the thin iPhone is a “byproduct” or a result of the r&d for the new foldable (the foldable needs to be super thin)

If I had a nickel for every yawn or boring comment the past 24 hours I could probably buy an iPhone 17 Pro Max with 1TB storage.

You probably could and sorry for being one of those people. I’m just seriously underwhelmed with apples lineup, especially when comparing to what other manufacturers are doing.

It’s taken 17 years of iPhone ownership to get here though so they’ve done well.

Edit: as a side note I still absolutely love my Mac and ipadOS 26 looks very good too. Is only the iPhone lacking for me.
