No more wars, crimes..! everything is back to normal all because Flappy Bird had returned

Whether or not any of us wants to believe his concerns over addictive gaming, I don't think Mr. Nguyen has ever once said that he had a problem with the money.

How much space has this site wasted on this non-story? Seems like every couple days there's something about it.

Kind of over this story already. Is it breaking news every time this guy does anything now?

"Flappy Bird Creator Shops Whole Foods, Hints New App" etc. ??

Eagerly waiting for the movie adaption of this app. Rumors site have pegged Christopher Walken as a potential to play Flappy Bird.

Offer

I will be your agent, Dong. You can have all of the emails come to my email address. I will "open your mail" and give you the legitimate support stuff, thereby being your first level clearinghouse. And for that, all I want is 10% of the $50,000 a day that you make. Let me know.

I just deleted it off my phone this morning! I was hanging on to it only because it wasn't available anymore. Honestly it's such a stupid game. I don't want to look back on my life thinking I played even one hour of flappy bird. Just my $0.02 :)

Knew the whole thing was a publicity stunt,

Or he's telling the truth.

The initial attention can be scary for someone. Press, cameras, interview requests, phone doesn't stop ringing. He was affected by the stories of addiction. Those stories got magnified as people started exaggerating their app reviews and blaming their lifes failures on Flappy Bird. The daily life of Dong was probably a walk down the street to Starbucks and off to the store to get some groceries and now he's in the spotlight and cant shake the attention.

It's not unreasonable at all to run from that kind of instant fame.

Now he's had the time to adjust and hes getting back in the saddle.

I really doubt it was all planned this way. He was in a state of making lots and lots of money. I doubt anyone would recommend he risk it in some New Coke-esque marketing strategy. Why would he do that when his app is at the top of the App Store. Stagnation would lead to a strategy like that, not during the rise up to success.

*rolls eyes*

Me giving a thumbs up to all the "who cares?/why is this news?/great work, MR" today:

But seriously. Stop reporting on Flappy Bird, no one cares. If you really want to support game devs, why not profile others somewhere else on the site?

Great job, M̶a̶c̶FlappyRumors

This drama has gone too far. Time for Nintendo to step in and sue the hell out of these copycats for using pretty much all their assets.
