I can recharge it via USB when connected to the computer, or by the power adapter, which BTW, has a USB plug. Very nice.

How do you charge your iPod via USB? I have a friend that has an iPod with his PC and he must unplug the iPod from the PC and then plug into the power plug to charge the battery.

What is wrong with a FW thumb drive? why not pop the end off to find a FW plug. (Just like USB, but FW)

BTW - Does anyone watch Crossing Jordan? They had something the other night that was a USB and FireWire 30 Gig thumb drive. It was about the size of the iPod Flash photo above. Is this thing real or something that they just made up?

I don't!

I was talking about my 2 year old Rio 256MB MP3 flash player.

Most PCs today have USB connector on the front making it very easy to connect via a USB Thumb Drive. Few have FW. That's why.

They look like too much like highlighters IMO.

iPod Flash = iPod Radio ! :)

MWSF 2005 will Introduce us to the new Apple iPod Radio. With a built in FM Tuner and Transmitter, it will most likely use Airport + iTunes > FM Transmitting technology found with the Airport Express. Very similar anyhow. :)

The Sister of Lindsay Lohan on Access Hollywood said she just finished doing a Commerical for the new iPod Radio this week. So, it is official. Cannot wait to see what it looks like! 3 days to go...

Incredible job...

3 small problems:
- What is the cap at the top... It looks sort of wierd
- Screen too small
- Unpractical to hold.. would have to hold at the end with fingertips..

Thanks for feedback virus1. Ok.

1. Move the cap to the bottom so it helps in holding the unit, maybe even usable with one hand.
2. Screen - three lines is the max really unless smaller text which is a possibility.
3. Add a dock option (white for multi-colors)

I really don't think they would call it "iPod Flash" because they'd likely want to preserve the brand name and reputation for when a different type of storage would/could be used in future versions of said product.

"iPod micro" sounds more plausible :)

for the same reasons they don't call the iPod or iPod mini "iPod hard drive" :D

I tend to agree with you. iPod micro sounds good.

However, the market is stratified by hard drive and flash based players so who knows. Apple may want to put emphasis on the fact that the new iPod is flash based and not HD based. Which of course is why it will not hold as many songs, is smaller, and more durable/sports oriented.
