I've never gotten sick from a flu shot.
... I'm not generally one who falls for various conspiracy theories but I swear, nearly everyone I know who got a flu shot has been sick right after it. ...
People say they have "the flu", when they have a cold. The flu shot will not prevent a cold. When you get influenza, you will likely be on your back for days with temperatures over 102. It is hellish misery.
I've never gotten sick from a flu shot.
Me neither, but I still need to get one for this season. Of note, my understanding is that a flu shot does not prevent you from getting flu, but it reduces the impact.
Uhmmm, where do you get the notion flu shots have been available for only 2-3 years? I've been getting them for 20+ years.
So much misinformation in this thread. Except for snberk.
I got my information from the fact that I am a British citizen and so-called flu shots only became prevalent in the last couple of years. Perhaps they have been contaminating US people for 20+ years but that is simply your hard luck for living in that open experimentation camp. Unfortunately the demons-that-be have now spread their experimentation - along with the insidious Americana culture - all over the world. God help us.

My last 5 year experience. Not making anything from it yet.
3 years Flu shots = Full fledged full week of being miserable with a fever, sore throat, and runny/stuffy nose. This was all 3 years.
2 years no shots = One year had only a 2 day short lived fever. No sore throat and only mild runny/stuffy nose. The other year, didn't get sick at all.
For children and elderly, I recommend Flu shots.
For Adults, eating right and being overall in good shape is probably the best way to avoid Flu symptoms.
