I’m not the target for this phone but I hope it works out with this pricing. It’s gonna be expensive.
You really have to hold one to understand them. For those of you who are interested, I hope you like this new offering... but it's definitely not for me. I just don't see enough upside to a $2500-$3200 iPhone that can be unfolded into essentially an iPad mini. You can't put a screen protector on it, and I can't imagine what kinds of cases can comfortably accommodate these things.
The thought is that if you could unfold your current phone to give you more screen real estate would that be something you’d want?
What if I just like cool tech? 🙁You have to have a huge ego to buy this in all fairness and need attention from others to even buy this in all fairness
It's sounds a bit like woman hahaI think you're right on ... the real question is how many folks need or want that, particularly for a steep premium to get it.
Only one way to know!
The starting price on the Z Fold 8 is $1899, in the US anyway.Ah, ok. So it's the same price as the Galaxy Z Fold8. That's surprising.
What if I just like cool tech? 🙁
That's what she said 🤣Then purchase and enjoy! 🙌
Nothing wrong with that!
There are buyers for literally everything and anything Apple does.
Heck, there are even people who use Apple Invites! (apparently)
I've seen people say "you can't get anything done an iPhone Mini -- too small" ... the phone that's been my primary for half a decade now. 😂
I would be replacing a 13 mini! Part of the appeal to me is that I like the passport form factor more than the big'n'thick Pro. The benefit of a foldable to me would be having a more compact, pocket-friendly shape that still offers the convenience of a larger screen when needed. Then purchase and enjoy! 🙌

In Germany it is 1999 €, which is 2322 USD.The starting price on the Z Fold 8 is $1899, in the US anyway.
Means German pricing will beCurrent prices in china for all 18 models to give everyone an understanding of cost
That's what she said 🤣
So again, it's not the same starting price as the Z Fold 8.In Germany it is 1999 €, which is 2322 USD.

I'm just looking at this and going what the heck at the cost different and a bit of humour at the same timeYou joke, but it's always been a woman who has seen my 13 Mini and been curious about it.
The Mini is old enough now where a lot of folks have never seen one and the comments do come out about "where did you get a smaller iPhone? Is that new?"
I think it will be primarily men who are interested in an "iPhone that unfolds into an iPad".
The whole thing feels a touch dorky, if being honest.
So "taking over" is now the primary criterion to judge whether a product is worthwhile?android has had foldables for a long time and they haven't taken over.
I think so especially with the cost.? How else can they justify the cost of it 🤣
What am I missing? With the current conversion 18k RMB are ~$2682.No, if it is 18k RMB in China then with the current conversions it will cost 2000 USD
You can fold open the iPhone so you can both sleep under it. 😃Hmmm… Pay the mortgage this month or buy a foldable iPhone? I guess my wife could sleep under the iPhone. We’d need a second one for me.
Meanwhile made in chinaApple product costs (development, parts, assembly, salaries, overhead running a business, etc) are subject to inflation. Apparently many people believe businesses are somehow magically immune.
I got this yesterday from my Xiaomi 13 ultra. Compared with the update here for the Western nations the updates are very reliableFrom the article: "has an advantage over Android devices in terms of software." A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.. Certainly not recently....
