1.1.0-1

Okay. Tell us what your iPhone has in this field:

4.1 (8b117)

I know. I hate how slow Infinifolders is and I prefer the FolderEnhancer user interface.

I am keeping my folders populated with no more than 16 icons. I seem to remember that FolderEnhancer does not deal well with more than 4 rows of icons. Anything on the fifth row is still there, but you can't get to them.

Are we talking about operating speed here, as in opening and closing folders? On my 3gs I didn't have any speed decrease with infinifolders even with a load of apps in a folder.

I had serious lag when opening folders with infinifolders
As much as 4 seconds.
FE Opens them instantly. One of my must have tweaks now

I haven't seen even a hint of lag. Folderenhancer opens 'faster' because it forgoes the animations, from the videos I've seen.

You have the option in FolderEnhancer to use animations or not. I believe it is faster even with animations turned on.

Yes, FolderEnhancer is quite a bit faster either way. It also has the functionality of FolderCloser (can be turned on or off) and FoldersInFolders built-in. It also extends MultiIconMover. Soon it will support vertical scrolling along with the paged scrolling as it does now.

FolderEnhancer is the best!

Wasn't trying to compare the two speed wise or functionality wise. For me there is no discernible lag other then the time it take for the animation to finish. Just trying to see why people with fewer apps in the folder and faster devices would have lag.

I have an iPhone 4. With 16 or less icons in a folder, and not using FoloersInfolders, Infinifolders lags in comparison to FolderEnhancer with animations turned on. But so does the the stock springboard folders with Infinifolders not installed.

In other words, if you are comparing Infinifolders to the stock springboard folders, I see no speed difference. FolderEnhancer is quite a bit faster than the stock springboard folders.

That was my original question, thanks.

Edit: Seems my typing was much slower then what I was thinking this morning since I actually did leave out the comparison to native in my OP.

am i the only one using foldercloser along with infinifolders?

edit: am i the only idiot that didnt know it was updated? lol

Wow!

I already had FolderCloser installed and that was really my only issue with the stock iOS 4.x Folders feature, so I was dubious of the need for further folder enhancements beyond, perhaps, adding pages and breaking the 12-icon barrier.

But WOW FolderEnhancer is now definitely a must-have tweak. Folders Open/Close much snappier than stock, and the FolderCloser functionality built-in is great.

No issues purchasing and installing on 4.1.
