I had a bad first impression with FE. I have hundred of apps. When trying to sort them all out, after about 5 minutes FE would cause my phone to crash into safe mode. Wasn't able to finish sorting even a handful of folders before it reset my layout. I'm sticking to infinifolders. The 2 second difference in opening a folder doesn't bother me.

Yeah I suffered this earlier too :(

I have hundreds of apps too and experienced no crashing whatsoever with FE. This is uncommon behavior!

I haven't either. But the developer has fixed a lot of bugs since the package was released so anyone that had problems with it and stopped using should give it another shot.

Note: Pirated copies have never worked properly. So, if a pirated copy is what anyone is basing their opinion on, that is invalid.

Gonna give FolderEnhancer a try. I love everything about Infinifolder on my iPhone 4, but it does slow down the launching of the folder compared with the stock iPhone 4 without Infinifolder installed. From my experience, it's about a second longer lag upon the first launch of that folder with Infinifolder installed. (Had about 3pages of icons) If you close and relaunch again, there is no discernible lag. I assume that everything is residing in memory by the second time. Respring and you can see the initial lag again.

However, the lag reappears after a while. I guess after the iOS flushes it's cache or something.

Because of the lag, I was researching alternatives to Infinifolder and came across this thread. Gonna give FolderEnhancer a try. Hate to buy another app but I guess it'll be worth it until Infinifolder gets faster.

I admit I like the more native feel of Infinifolder. But we'll see how I feel after I give FolderEnhancer a run through.

BTW, I methodically installed each cydia app/enhancement in my quest to figure out the lag. And finally found that installing of Infinifolder was the culprit. This test was on the latest officially purchase Infinifolder as of today. The difference in launch of a stock folder is just shy of 1sec. Installing Inifinifolder doubles that time. If I were on an iPhone 3, I probably figure that ~1s lag is normal. But once you're used to the responsiveness of iPhone 4, the ~1s lag makes you feel like you're using Android or something. ;) I can't stand lagginess once one is used to smoothness.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

FolderEnhancer is out for 4.1 it's been out for at least a week. So far everything is great excepet pandora and ootines are acting up on me. Not sure if it's related.

FE also lags when it comes to opening folders with numerous pages. I have about 4 pages of games, and I noticed that FE pops up the first page quicker than infinifolders, but if you want to scroll to the next page on FE, it'll lag. To me the lag doesn't bother me just because of how efficient FE has become in organizing apps. To me it's definitely better than infinifolders.

I like it better than infinifolders and the version has been upgraded for 4.1

i am running 3gs 4.1 with latest FE version 1.4.5-1.

lately when i respring/reboot, the same icons always get spit out of folders. i would say it would happen about 3 out of 5 times.

would this issue be related to FE? does this happen to anyone else?

thanks.
