yo no one on here said anything about offline sync yo.
yo spotify can keep me from carrying around 15 gb of music.. (because you never know what mood you are in yo)
that same collection is 0GB if you stream it yo.

but yo if youdont have unlimited data, or dont want to pay for an extra gb or 2 a month. then yo probably right it isnt the solution [for you]....yo

that same collection will also make you pay $10--15 overage every month if you don't have unlimited.

I take a lot of pictures, so I found the 16 GB model to be extremely limiting. When the 4S came out I got the 64 GB model and I'm very happy with it. I have about 10 GB free.
I wanted to upgrade to the 5 but the price of the 64 GB + AppleCare is just too much to upgrade yearly for me. I'm hoping next year's models start at 32 GB.

I had a 16GB iPhone 3G and iPhone 4, but went to 32GB for the iPhone 5 and I'm happy I did. I was constantly having to delete pictures and couldn't put any music on my phone when I had only 16GB.

You can definitely make 16gb work but 32 is nicer. 16 requires cleanup every now and then. Removing music and pics that are unnecessary so in a way it forces you to keep things tidy.

The bigger issue for me is that these guys are still charging so much for 16 gigs. Pricing is a little unfair especially with no external memory.

I have unlimited, and while I have a massive music library, I prefer to stream Pandora, so I don't have a large library on my phone

So, 16GB serves me well

Now, if Apple would quit being ridiculous, and let us access the phone as a folder from our computers, I would get a 32 or 64 so I could always have the option of using it as an external drive for transferring files - would be so convenient, like any android phone.... this is one of the biggest shortfalls in my book

but I am very happy overall (Once I get this 6.0.1 SIM Failure issue resolved today!)

When I had my iPhone, 16GB was more than enough. I had about 500 songs, lots of apps, and very few videos/photos. I believed I had about 5GB or 6GB of free space after that.

Now on my EVO V, I only need about 2GB for a handful of apps and songs.

It really depends on your needs. For me, 16GB is plenty. For some, it may be too little.

I had a 16GB 4S (bought out of contract so I tried to save some money). It drove me INSANE. I like to keep alot of music on my phone and I take a ton of pictures. I ran out of space in no time.

My old 4 was a 32GB and I loved the extra space. So I went with the 64GB 5. I'm sooooo happy I did. I currently have about 16GB of music on the phone with a ton of space leftover for apps, pictures, etc.

In my opinion - go 32GB (or 64GB if money isn't a primary concern).

For me, 16GB just isn't enough space. I would say if you can do it that 32GB is the sweet spot. With that said, I don't like to worry about space, both my 4S and 5 are 64GB.

16GB is enough for me as I don't have a huge music library, and never download full-length movies to watch. My previous Android phone had 8GB and I never came close to hitting that.

Maybe I'm just cheap, but spending $299 on a phone was a little too much for me. 50% is a huge price premium for some extra space.

I used to always get 32Gb iphones, but i ended up with a 16Gb 4S, actually still have loads of room, i have a 16Gb nano (previous diddy version) for my music, photos are rarely taken on my 4S, so it's just used for tinterwebs and apps, 16Gb for me always, now change that for 32Gb/64Gb for the 4th gen ipad im getting so i can have my movies on it!!!

I'm fine with 16g because I don't keep any music on it. All my music is on my iPod touch and that works just fine for me. I know I'm in the minority but I never find myself needing to use my phone for listening to music. For the amount of apps I use and the amount of photos I take, 16g is surprisingly plenty enough space.

If Spotify was $5 a month instead of $10, I would more strongly consider a 16gb. I go with a 32gb so I can carry more music for car rides and stuff.

The problem is games (if you play them) are getting a lot better and with that comes a lot more memory. Standard size for a good 3d game (BC3, Batman for example) are well over 1gb. I wish id gone for 32gb now :(

I went with the 32GB because I wanted to have the middle size. I honestly don't think I'll get close to it though. I delete my pictures every so often so I have them on my computer and I don't keep my music stored on my phone, just through the cloud. I don't have any videos as I really don't want to watch a video on this screen size, haha. So probably 16GB would have been fine for me.

Music can be streamed, which reduces the need to carry it all at once. I agree that pictures and video are often the driving factors - you can always delete music temporarily to clear up space, but once you hit the barrier with pictures/video, you're often stuck until you can sync.

Also, things like the Kingston Wi Drive ($70 on Amazon for 32GB) provide a means to bring more with you should you need it, but it doesn't (yet, AFAIK) support transferring things back to it, just reading media that's stored on it.

For me, 32GB is the sweet spot, but that's moving to 64GB with the next iPhone, likely, and it's because of pic/video. Then again, I have kids, so I likely use those more.

32GB is definitely a great choice. I went with a 16GB model though since the majority of my music stays on my iPod Classic instead of my iPhone. Though with 16GB of other content (photos, videos, apps), you can still run out fairly easily.

If you want the iPhone for the phone, 16GB. If you want the iPhone for everything else, 32GB or 64Gb.

Is 16 GB enough? Or is worth it to just spend the extra money for a 32/64 GB?

I've always got the smallest storage space I can, but now with iTunes Match I tend to run up to the limit sometimes and have to purge songs from it. Next time I may go for a 32GB, unless that becomes the new minimum.

To be honest I am just going to get the 16gb one..if they had an 8gb one I would have got that my 16gb 3gs still has 11gb free lol..im a bit boring I don't use it for music etc..more as a tool for work..emails..internet etc

Between LTE, Match, and photo stream, 16GB is no trouble.
I could even get by with 8GB

always had the 16 gb and it was plenty for me.

the only reason i can see needing a 32 gb is if you plan on keeping a lot of video on your phone or downloading a bunch of really large games such as GTA3. i have 1500+ songs on my phone with quite a few apps and photos and still have 4+ GB free.

also, just in principal i would never buy the 32 GB because the price gouging from a 16 to 32 GB is insane. 100 bucks for 16 extra GB of storage is absolutely ridiculous given the price of flash memory these days. the price difference between a class 10 16 GB and 32 GB microSD card is about 15 bucks on sale from amazon....

I always go 16GB. I have iTunes match and dont use many apps.

I was debating going for the 64GB iPhone 5 so I could put a ton of apps on my iPhone. The reason I stuck with 16Gb was because the resale value of a 64GB doesnt warrant the extra $$$

I sell every 'old' iPhone a week before the new one coems out and I always get $450 cash.
A 64GB would get me maybe $550.
The extra $100 Ill make on resale isnt worth the extra $200 upfront :)

Plus I have 2 lines on my ATT account. Every year I upgrade.
Every year I pay $200 and make $200 for having an Iphone :)

Im debating going the 32Gb route for the next iPhone, but Ill look into the 32Gb iPhone prices on ebay/craigslist when it comes time to sell and see if its worth it.
