No and no. No signature available but it was signed for someone whose name means nothing to me. I had a bloody Canada Post guy pull that crap one Christmas. I think I'll be calling both Fedex and Apple (neither of which I've contacted throughout the rest of these shenanigans) and registering a complaint! You just don't leave nearly $500 worth of electronic goods at my doorstep or jammed in the mailbox. Not cool, dude.

This thing is amazing. I just sent my first webmail with it... I'm so impressed.
I found out why my wifi was so slow - i think i messed up a setting by accident, and it wouldn't connect properly. I "forgot" the network, and then re-entered all the info, and everything is cool. I read the news on ctv.ca posted on here, and sent an email. I wonder if it can do online banking? lol
Unfortunately it CANT do any of my homework so none of that is getting done.

Yay! I just got mine. Opening it all right now. It's a week 38 with a Corrine Bailey Rae front. Seems to be working great. Thanks to all of you for all the help passing time with me on here waiting. Now I'm gonna go play!

Good luck...I'm uploading movies to the iPod. Converting is a pain but worth it.
Can't wait til that component cable comes so I can connect this baby to the tv...or to stereos with the audio out (or I could just use the laptop audio cable now...)
I checked the status all morning and it never said it left Winnipeg for here. Then I go home and its not there so me and my dad are talking about how I have to wait til tomorrow when the doorbell rings. I jumped 5 feet off the ground and got my iPod. Syncing it now. I converted all my movies already so im good to go! This thing is FAR better then what I expected. 
Mystery solved - we have a maid service that comes once every 2 weeks for like an hour, and they happened to be here when the package arrived as it was inside the house and not left outside.
Just about to hook it up - wondering if the firewire cable from my 3G ipod would work, but I'll keep it safe and use the new USB 2.0. re: movies - ripped a couple on my daughter's mac mini using handbrake, will copy over to the windows computer I sync to and see how they look (one of them is done twice at different bitrates etc.). I chose the iPhone setting in there as its basically the screen size, but I thought the movie was a little large compared to equivalent ones done in divx for my palm TX with the same resolution (but not quality) screen.

I am just going to play with this one until my local shop got their shipment with week 38+ and return this one to Apple for sending me a defect unit.

picked mine up tonight, works perfect, no negative black issues, Week 38 serial number with CBR on box.
just thought id try posting on here with my touch. Wow this thing is even better than i expected. Everyone else get theirs and enjoying them?
the week 37 shipped from Apple still have color and light level problem
picked up a week 38 on my way home from a store and although it's not perfect, it's better then the week 37. Both are on 1.1.1
i say avoid 37 at all cost, the update did nothing really.
guess Apple is getting that one back. Hopefully I don't get stinged by restock since I opened it...

I got mine as well.
It's a week 38 with Corrine box. No video problems, but some hiss when paused... I've heard all ipods have this problem, it depends on the earphones if you hear it or not. It doesn't bother me that much.
Other than that, setting it up with my network messed my DNS settings and gave me a bit of trouble. Everything works fine now.
I'm scared to take it out of my pocket though...

Got mine hooked up to my home entertainment system using the Apple component cable (arrived two days ago). Plays video just fine, though you can't expect hd quality on a 46" screen. But the audio sounds awesome on my Onkyo amp compared to using a regular RCA jack plugged into the earphone jack of the Touch.
I can even watch youtube, though there is a red bar at the right side of the video when it plays on the tv screen.
You cannot see the GUI on the tv screen, I have to operate everything using the touch screen.
You are going to love it once your cable arrives!

I do have the hiss issue which I only noticed when I was listening to some mozart concertos yesterday.
Still, I'm in love with this thing. the UI is so much better than any other iPod That ALONE is worth the upgrade! I don't know why everyone is obsessed with the click wheel because I hated it. It would always go a few songs too far - or a few menu options to far. Then you push the ok button, and it accidentally pushes the "up" and you end up going up one level in the menus. With the touch screen, you just touch what you want and it does it. My dad had it figured out in half a second and he is no technofile! i put the ipod in front of him, and he goes "oh TV!" and he pushes the Youtube button... lol. The keyboard takes some getting used to because you don't get the tactile response - but it's something I'm willing to adapt to.
Album art and photos? that's when you just sit there grinning from ear to ear and giggling like a school girl. I showed the picture zooming to dad and he was speechless. Showed him the internet and he says "but thats so small" so I made it HUGE and I'm like "is this big enough?" lol.
Actually, people were complaining about not having tactile volume buttons, but I have a moto cell phone which has tactile buttons that work while the phone is closed. You know what happens? your volume settings get adjusted when the phone shifts in your pocket. If apple had put those controls on the iPod, they would have to circumvent the sleep mode (screen off while music plays) to be useful, and if that happen, your volume would be adjusted on its own. Quite frankly, it's MUCH easier to double-click the home button than to move the hold button on the old ipods. With old ipods, you would forget to re-lock. With Touch, it just auto-sleeps after a few seconds.
EDIT: just watched my first Youtube video on it...since it's a Canadian thread, I'll point out the fact that it was "O' Canada" at Rexall before one of the playoff games. I was in the house that day, got goosebumps then, still get goosebumps watching it - and it looks ridiculous on the iPod. Blacks are certainly perfect!

Just got my touch from Futureshop. The salesman told me he got 6 this morning (mix of 8 & 16) and by the time I got there (1:30 PM) it was the last one (16). I bought it, and am very impressed so far. It definitely has one dead pixel though, and perhaps a few others. I was pretty much expecting a defect of one kind or another...I'll see how much it bothers me before I decide to bring it back. Luckily I didn't buy this at the apple store...
Received mine last night, October 4th, and unfortunately it was DOA with stuck/dead pixels and the negative black effect. It was an 8GB week 37 with Macy Gray on the box. I love her(my touch) so much, but now she's being sent back and I'm going to purchase one from Best Buy so I have the assurance that it can be exchanged within minutes if need be.
EDIT: Just got off the phone with Alexis from Apple Support and my money cannot be refunded because my credit card used to pay was only a visa gift card. I'm only 15 and can't get a real one.

Sorry to hear about your touch. I received my week 37 16GB touch today. No screen issues or dead pixels. I'm very happy with it so far. Here are some details:
