Hey, I ordered at 10am and ordered online. I was first sent an e-mail saying that sorry we had ran out of stock but then got a call say they are sending it via DHL! I did send an e-mail complaining so I dont knw if that done the trick.

Nice one.. I'll continue to wait..looking out the window.. jumping at the sound of any large vehicle going by.... fingers legs and eyes all crossed...

Haha! Did you get a tracking number? You can find it on the order page on their website!

Nah, no tracking number, so i'm doubtful even though the guy said i'll get it today as i paid to get it today.. I'll wait till 5.. call them up and unleash hell. then cancel my order and wait and wait and wait until i find one...

Many thx to the OP for the MacWarehouse link. We Apple lovers are persistent buggers & here's my tale of frustration & joy!! Lol.

I ordered from Apple online, eventually getting thru at 2.40am on Sat - then discovered they had processed two orders! Snagged one, or so I thought, thru Tesco Direct on Sat morning only to have order cancelled as over limit on debit card funds (due to Apple authorising two orders!). By the time I'd cleared it with my bank Tesco had gone out of stock - grrrrrrr!!!

So held out little hope when logged into MacWarehouse just after midday yesterday, but what the hell. Ordered black 16gb wifi model - came to £401 and change with VAT, BUT got 5% thru Quidco saving £16.49 on VAT exclusive price. Order confirmed & Quidco tracking by 12.30pm & despatch confirmed just before 6pm!

Order tracking showed it was on a van at 7.01am today & had it in my hands by 11.30am! Terrific, inside 24 hours!!

Label on outer carton has DSG (Dixons Stores Group) & came from warehouse in Bury, Lancashire to me near Coventry.

So, it can be done & thanks to you guys on here! Good luck with your own search for the iPad 2.

Yeah, I cancelled this morning and was told that I would be refunded in 3 - 5 days. I thought they might have put a hold on my card rather than taking the money right away. I'll be checking my statement at the weekend!
 
Interestingly, they haven't debited my account, presumably because they haven't delivered yet.

I'll be cancelling once my John Lewis order turns up today...

Still waiting for DHL to turn up or MacWarehouse to tell me they still haven't shipped...
 
Do I Cancel my Order?

Called up MacWarehouse... after email saying should be no issue being delivered before 5 tomorrow (yesterday email received after 5pm) I called them up and guess what.... I'm on the "next batch list". When will this be ?? maybe Friday, but they don't know!!!!
So I've no idea when I'll get one. Asked why i wasn't called or emailed and couldn't give me an explanation... said will try to do some form of small discount for a order next time... yeah like there is going to be a next time....
In 2 minds now to cancel and go on a waiting list else where or stick where i am.. They in my opinion are terrible!!!!
They are refunding my 9.99 delivery cost i added for next day which is big of them....:mad::mad::mad:
Gave me the story that was on here previously, that Internet orders crashed the system and superseded the phone orders... I said surely they knew this last night, and could of informed me? again.. no real response.. Pretty Crap Service... Not Impressed.....

Was there a first coming? Just more putting out there the pretty ******* customer service... thats what its all about these forums.. sharing expericances.... Some have good some have bad!
 
Looks like Mac Warehouse do come good in the end :)

I ordered at 10:50am yesterday morning, so I'd say if you ordered before then you're probably guaranteed one too.

Glad some of you have managed to get your iPads! sorry that it hasn't worked out for everyone, just the way it goes sometimes I guess.

Got my iPad this morning, love it to pieces. 32gb White wifi model :) typing on it now which feels very odd!

Got the green smart cover to go with it and it looks really fresh. Huge thumbs up :apple::D

Got the dispatch email from them earlier and now have a DHL tracking number but no updates are available as yet.

Hoping it turns up in the morning!
 
I put in an order for the 32GB black WiFi yesterday lunchtime, when it was showing 10+ available. Had the shipping notification by late afternoon, and it's out for delivery this morning! Not bad for free shipping.

As I mentioned on another thread, the 32GB black WiFi model has been put in the AppleTV section of their website by mistake, so it's probably not appearing on most people's searches. It's still showing as 10+ in stock (>here<), in case anyone's interested. They're also showing stock of several white models >here<.
