iPhone Air For those getting the air

Ordered a Pro Max, as usual, but I'm really considering the Air.

I'm getting tired of the Pro Max's ergonomics. Will have to see how the 17 PM feels in-hand.

I'm not sure how much I'd miss the additional cameras. Ultra wide can be useful for macro, even though I almost never use it, but I'm not a fan of 0.5x distortion otherwise. I don't use telephoto much. Couldn't care less about the front facing camera.

Battery life probably won't be much of an issue for me. Can always grab the battery pack for the rare occasion I'd need it.

Don't care about the missing GPU core as long as navigating the OS doesn't suffer from it.

The speaker will probably be the biggest compromise.

I may pick up an Air, use it for 1-2 weeks, and see if I miss any of the PM's features. The problem with that is it would be dreadful going back to the brick that the Pro Max is if I do. The other option would be to never even touch an iPhone Air. Ignorance is bliss.

I downgraded from 16 pro to 17, and so far I’m very pleased. After holding the Air in store, I finally saw what people like about it. It IS a beauty, but believe it or not I found it TOO thin for my taste.

I did the same, and had the same concerns as recently as yesterday; low-light is a fair amount better than on the 16e, and the ability to use portrait on animals etc wasn't a thing I could do with my 16e. Pretty great capability considering single lens.

I think the Air having full portrait is a huge deal, after every single-lens iPhone had to go without it.

My iPhone Xʀ on iOS 12 would’ve been complete with a single-lens full portrait at the time. It’s a shame Apple only added it after all these years. I missed it sometimes.

Absolutely the best colour IMO! Most of my iPhones have been black - sleek, stealth & premium looking

I did have a 16e but sold it to my brother and used a 16 Pro for a while. I missed the ability to take portrait photos of anything, especially my dog with the 16e.

Now Apple have pulled off next gen portraits with the single lens Air, with large screen and amazing in hand feel! Still can’t get over how thin & light it is. No pains in my hands etc.
