Apple's iPhone 14 Plus launched today in markets around the world, coming a full three weeks after the other models in the iPhone 14 family became available, and four weeks since iPhone 14 pre-orders began.

Online orders of all iPhone 14 Plus configurations on Apple's website have shipping estimate delays into next week, but for customers who forgot to pre-order the iPhone 14 Plus or simply decided to wait, the good news is that same-day or next-day pickup will be an option at many Apple Stores around the world.

As of writing, Apple's online stores in the United States and Canada haven't yet been updated to show pickup availability, but shortages aren't expected and there is unlikely to be much variation state by state. Meanwhile across the pond, all iPhone 14 Plus colors and configurations are available for Apple Store pickup today in countries including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

To order a product with Apple Store pickup, add the product to your bag on Apple.com or in the Apple Store app, proceed to checkout, select the "I'll pick it up" option, enter your ZIP or postal code, choose an available Apple Store location, select a pickup date, and select a 15-minute check-in window. Payment is completed online, and a valid government-issued photo ID and the order number may be required upon pickup.

iPhone 14 Plus models may also be available for walk-in customers at Apple Store locations with sufficient inventory, but availability can't be guaranteed. Walk-in customers may be placed into a separate queue with lower priority upon arrival to the store.

The ‌iPhone 14‌ Plus is meant for customers who want a larger ‌iPhone‌ without all the features of Apple's high-end models, but pre-order demand for the new model has reportedly not reached the highs that Apple anticipated. The ‌iPhone 14‌ Plus, like the ‌iPhone 14‌, features the same chip as the iPhone 13 Pro, camera improvements, and other minor enhancements. Reviewers called the iPhone 14 an "iPhone 13S," noting the little improvements and changes compared to its predecessor.

I've talked to a few people at work about the 14 line, and most didn't even know new iPhones were released.
Its not just the 14. For the last 3 years I've noticed many of my local people not even know or pay attention. People get older too, kids, etc. I'm still one of the last from my circle of friends that follow tech heavily. Nothing bad on that. Love my apple products.

"Forgot to order"....that's how you spin a story.

Nonetheless, I was one of the people waiting for the launch of the 14+ to be able to see it for myself before buying. I am going to head to a retailer this weekend and experience it to decide. However, I am heavily leaning toward Pro Max solely based on Dynamic Island.

I've purchased solely Apple electronics now for 20 years and can state with confidence that Apple always launches quality products loaded with modern technology. I don't doubt 14+ is any different. Clearly, Apple is attempting to satisfy a market segment with this phone. If you aren't in that segment, then it's not for you!

For me the Pro hasn’t been available in any Apple Stores since launch and coming from a 12 I want ProMotion. 14 Pro Models in my area are pushed out til mid November in some cases. By then I’ll be gifting for everyone else and by January it will feel like “may as well wait a few months for the 15.”

There will be a few people who actually hunt one of these things out (perhaps a rare unicorn in the wild for a while), but they'll gradually sell and you'll get another year of service past the 13. Waiting on the 15 myself, but if I was upgrading this year I'd be tempted with this one by the bigger screen and much of the extra stuff on the Pro Max being lost on me.

It shows what a little contained echo chamber we exist in here, lol. Guessing normal folks could care less as long as their phone is working for them.

Yup as usual Apple Haters first ones posting seconds after the release. “Apple is doomed” “no one wants it” “hard pass”….it’s pretty funny. Ya 1/3 the worlds population buying apple products are wrong and you people are right.
I don't think anyone here is being a hater... they are just stating the obvious. I think most of us here are Apple fans; otherwise, we wouldn't have taken the time to sign up and post. Life is just too damn short to create an account just to troll a company you don't care about.

But back to the point, there were reports for the past few weeks that interest in the iPhone 14 Plus just isn't there... and it seems to follow the same tracking about the iPhone 12 mini, which people "said" they wanted, but then didn't end up buying. I was one of the ones that SAID that I wanted a smaller phone, and then I actually BOUGHT an iPhone 12 mini. However, I went right to an iPhone 13 Pro the next year because of the piss poor battery life (and the smaller screen wasn't all it was cracked up to be).

I just think that the iPhone 14 Plus sits in a weird position in the iPhone range. At $900, it ain't cheap. Some would rather just spend the extra $100 and get the iPhone 14 Pro for the better screen and cameras or so that they can get the latest flashy thing (i.e., Dynamic Island). Others might just go the value route and buy an older iPhone 13 Pro Max new at a discount. Looking around quickly, I see that Best Buy is offering the 128GB iPhone 13 Pro Max for $999. At that price, why would anyone buy an iPhone 14 Plus?

5-6 years ago, yearly upgrades were very common, but now people tend to hold phones for at least 2-3 years. The phone market has peaked.

The 12 mini definitely has terrible battery life, the 13 mini is significantly better.

The fact that it is so difficult to get a Pro and so easy to get a non pro means that Apple has perfected the art of up selling.

In the first place, they were worried that people will buy the plus and not the pro, hence the delay in the launch.

This is me. I kept up with it and this year I returned my 14 Pro because I just didn't care enough about the upgrade. I used to upgrade year over year and it just doesn't interest me much anymore. But that's a good thing, I get more use out of my phones now. :) Just getting older.

This I definitely agree with. Release your most expensive first. Most eager buyers won’t want to wait for the release of the Plus even if they were originally interested in it.

No, there are definite haters here. People still upset they’re using last years chip in this years Base Model lineup. Even through the majority of haters weren’t interested in a standard model anyway.

They’d love to see Apple fail with their 14 and 14 Plus sales. That’s why they’re voicing so strongly. Hoping to sway those still interested in getting a larger model at a cheaper price.

Most day to day users just want a larger device made by Apple, without all the bells and whistles. They couldn’t care less last years chip is in it or that it still has a notch.

Haters on here a ridiculous. 👊🙄👍
